  4. Thanks warlord. Been a few years for me, & will be slow progress, but had to get up and running first. These style are the only machines that hold fond memorises for me, potluck was me as a kid winning the JP & having to hide while it was paying out, so i didn't get caught playing it in a working mans club back in the 80s. The other is coming soon, the only thing i never sold off was my old bandit, ive had since the 90s now. the 2 others would be smash and grab and bigshot, but to be honest. im not going there

Brought this last weekend, was dead, with the help from members here & old friends THANK YOU VERY MUCH Progress slowly being made Removed board, as sat for years doing nothing, battery leakage present, so removed & cleaned board treated it with vinegar & dried. cleaned up the tracks to see how many broken, to my surprise just a few. Not repaired yet, but time to see if it works. &

  8. Cheers nick, even though its fully working, theirs still plenty of work to do, psu caps, mpu caps, track repairs, slightly wonky reel, a bouncing reel, the dry joints on led display up top, change to new coins, plus more however every single part works pays plays as it should to which im pretty shocked for a dead machine. Not a great video but does show working, well working progress, ill try and do a better video later on, i had it gamble to Β£100 2nd day testing, but no battery ATM, video-1551637450.mp4

  10. As Andrew said it’s a coinmetric DCE. Uses Bluetooth. There will be no refrance to the PAN number or MAC address for it so you will not be able to connect that way but if you have a machine on data software it will stop the 7.1 error. You can connect your data port (BACTA Port) to ur pc using a 25 pin to serial adaptor and using real term to view (1200baud, 8Databits). You get info for coin in, coin value, VTP, if a door has been opened and loads of other messages. Bacta port is one way (apart from receiving and ACK) so pretty boring. Were used as live metering so the mechanical meters were not used

  12. & She works, ok some faults present But. considering its age, shes done well the board is MPU4 mod 4 with sound chip fitted in 1991 according to the sticker, the guy owned it not long after that, even had bulb wiring with it i will upload to the files section. so what was the fault, after removing everything from MPU, & replacing fuse. try again, bingo a red light, mmmm time to plug one thing in at a time, the result a few more blown fuses & a coin mech connected wrong & display unit in short circuit. so at the end of the evening i had a semi working machine. i just need to learn how to fault find the display but for me a swap out was the best thing, thanks to member here helping me out there, & member for testing the display confirming short circuit. Got lots to do to, but at the minute im just getting the basics going, then onto the tracks caps repairs, then onto full strip and clean & repairs where needed. that is a longer project ill update here as i go. 15. Well here it is! I think it's in a stable enough state to go out. To install please copy MFME.exe and PacDrive.dll to your MFME program folder, and the two default folders to the folder where you store all your games. You'll need to do a database scan from the manager to create a new .db file as the format has changed. I will create a bugs thread where you can report any issues that arise. I won't be posting any updates in the short term unless any showstoppers are reported. As far as new layouts are concerned, I won't be posting any up, unless there are issues getting something to work, in which case I can provide a working basic starter layout. This version won't run on XP as it doesn't support the touch screen. If you get an error regarding XAudio2 creation, you'll need to install this package: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/confirmation.aspx?id=8109 Enjoy! Jeeves aka Wizard MFME.rar

  22. hope this helps scoody, the centre part on the back of seperator stuck out and as all tubes are in line i just cut that away and blanked it off.So the coin drops straight down the centre.

  23. so the machine is finally coming back together. The lamp mask just fell off the back glass. So its all been sprayed, all double sided tape replaced, all lamps removed and cleaned and replaced where needed.A new coin bezel fitted and reels back in.Its looking very nice.Few more bits to do but struggling with tubes at the mo.

  24. the reason why the 20p was an s10 mech was because the ms111 sorter could only sort 3 ways and all 3 routes were used for 3 tubes 10p 50p and Β£1. its the same in crackpot and my multiplay

  25. Yeah the silver does look good on these frames. Looking very tidy now and good job done .ive used silver smooth hammerite on parts which looks pretty similar to this .

  26. Lower glass frame and all components now fully cleaned and re-sprayed.The hinge has been done in satin black. All buttons dismantled and cleaned.Pic 2 shows the dull black T molding against the part ive cleaned at side of lower glass. Now on with the upper glass and frame

  27. so the work has started.Reels stripped cleaned and new lamps. All buttons and glass removed from lower section, dismantled buttons and cleaned.Re stuck lamp mask down with no nails double sided tape.Front frame wet and dried ready for painting.I was going to use silver but then i saw this metallic pewter as in pic,i think that will look very nice. The door hinge will also get a new satin black coat.More updates coming as its done.

  28. so for those interested, here it is as unloaded and placed in garage.Cabinet very good.Needs a few lamps and lamp masks are pulling away from glass causing bleed through from lamps.Needs 2 rear locks and a really good clean, might respray front in metallic silver and laquer .It has both cash boxes with inserts and no damage to lamp holders or lamp masks. So needs stripping and cleaning plus respray front, also someone has added a base with 4 wheels but i will remove that and the original base is sound underneath.A nice project that is fully working to make gorgeous again.
