There are specialist companies that can do it but they are mega expensive. They dismantle the drive and put the platters into a machine to read them. The only hope you’ve got other than spending many thousands of pounds is to find an identical hard drive that works and swap the control boards over. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Works for me too. I might be wrong but I’m sure you have to have 100 posts as well as donate.
