  1. My first release in the v20 era is another cracking old MMM based tech machine from Maygay. I had some photos sent to me by @sulzerned, I decided to start a redraw to the point that the only original art on the DX is the yellow & white star pattern on the rear of the top glass, everything else is redrawn. Massive thanks to @sulzerned for the pics they were an invaluable resource to use as a template. Thanks also to @hitthesixfor his classic that I used as a base and to @evo1 for testing. Finally thanks to @Wizard for his continue support and updates to MFME. v20 had a massive amount of updates, the major change that I could do with this layout in particular is animated buttons. ****************************************** Wild Hold DX ****************************************** Released - 8th July 2020 Author - Dave Pook Manufacturer - Maygay Stake - 10p Jackpot - £2 ****************************************** Shortcuts... 0 - Enter 50p 9 - Enter 20p 8 - Enter 20p Token 7 - Enter 10p `/C - Cancel/Collect N/U - Nudge Up 1 - Hold/Nudge 1 2 - Hold/Nudge 2 3 - Hold/Nudge 3 R - Respin Q - Wild Hold A - Wild Reel Z - Respin Space/G - Start/Gamble ****************************************** Thanks to.. hitthesix - Classic Sulzerned - Photos evo1 - Testing Wizard - MFME ******************************************

  4. A very interesting topic and I see a lot of fantastic results I am also working on reel band production for about a year now. I have made a new set for my Mini Runner and a set for my Halloween Runner, a gimmick based on the famous Random Runner which can be rebuilt with a window and new upper reel bands. New projects at the moment are a System 80 machine of JPM's Super Bars and '88 model reel bands of Bell Fruit machines like Club 2000. I only struggle how to allign the symbols in the design software (Inkscape) in a fast way. Now it takes a lot of time to measure every symbol and the space between. Is there a faster way to do this? For my reel bands I cooperate with a local printing company who print my reel bands on glossy self adhesive vinyl which gives a beautiful glossy effect like they are original. The mask is not printed but cut out by a plotter on self adhesive black vinyl. With the use of soap and water I put the full color symbol reel band onto the mask. By using water with soap in it you can position both layers onto each other, and later on you can press the water between both layers away and then the glue starts t do its job. Wet Application of adhesive vinyl I think the results are quite OK. Price about 18 euros for a sheet with 3 bands (200mm x 800 mm) and the mask with the same dimensions.

  16. Finally got there, although my scorpion 2 board had been repaired last year, it is faulty. After replacing both the loom between the coin mech and mpu and the mpu, the machine is now taking coins and also crediting them correctly, thanks to @Player for all the help and support

  18. The traces are very small like an Epoch. I'm only a hobby board man so im not the best one to give advise but I found the smaller wire (0.15mm) easier as there's a bigger gap inbetween the repairs giving you more room. A few other things is clear out every Via (hole) and start your wires from the back of the board-that way you already have one fixed point for your repair wire... You've got the bonus of a new reinforced Via joining both sides too. If you loop the wire on the back of the board around something on the edge (connector). You can then pull your wire on top taught and helps get the wires straighter. Then you just brush on some flux and solder them down along. Also don't miss anything... It's worth doing more than trying to be quick.

  20. It's that time again, but this time we're going a bit more 'modern'. A couple of DX's for a Scorpion 4/5 machine called Pink Panther - Crack The Code. A typical, wraparound trail based machine that BFM liked to do on a lot of their machines, with a DOND-type feature added to the mix. The reason there are a couple of DX's is because there are two different stake/jackpots. One is set to £70, and the other is set to £35. Pick whichever one you prefer. I've also added a happy RAM+GAM file, but only for the £70 version. It took too long to get them both buzzed-up. As ever, use MFME6.1 to play, and make sure you have 'Shrink To Fit', set, in the preferences because this one is a biggie! Huge thanks goes out to the following people. Reg: For the classic. Mr. X: For the artwork, and reel images. :) Shortcuts for both layouts are: Cancel - ` Hold/Nudge 1 - 1 Hold/Nudge/HI 2 - 2 or H Hold/Nudge/LO 3 - 3 or L Collect - C Change Stake - S Exchange - E Transfer - T Start - Space Take - (Bottom Glass) - T Leave - (Bottom Glass) - L Take Clue - H Take Bonus - B Cash Or Bust - O Take Streak - S Take - (Top Glass) - T Play Crack The Code - P Leave - (Top Glass) - L £1 Insert - 0 £5 Note Insert - Delete £10 Note Insert - End £20 Note Insert - Page Down Have fun! 22. Thank you, never seen this before, was it released post 1992? Was this regarded as a £6 token AWP from a legal point of view? SWP jackpots were £10 in the late 80s/early 90s as far as I can remember. I'm not usually keen on the SWPs but will certainly give this a go.
