  2. put it back together (except top and bottom covers) so turn on time finally arrived! Quite amazed it actually worked! and worked well too!

  3. nope, the lamps are matrixed which means they are pulsed for around 1ms with 30v, the resistance of the lamp filament means this averages to 12v, LED's have no filament so this means you are putting a full 30 plus volts across a LED meant for 12v, they then generate similar heat to a bulb as the silicon junction inside the LED rapidly heats up and this heat eventually destroys the led so they either stop working or just go very dim!!!! If the lamps are driven WITH 12v as in old JPM SYS80 then LED's are fine!

  8. Wondering if you could try LED bulbs. No heat problems then.

  9. If machines have transformers in them then there is the inrush of current until the magnetic flux builds up, so a 5A fuse should be ok, but if they do blow ( as they are quick acting and fuses on the supply on the psu input are anti surge ones) then put 7A ones in the plugtop!! As for the leads 10A or ones with 13A cable are defo better !!! 6A ones are usually crapley made! when I used to sell tv’s I put 5A fuses in the plug as the tv load was around 3A, then about 3 months later 2 sets sold to 2 different people at the same time came back dead!! Both with the mains fuse blown!! Nothing else wrong!! It was because when the sets were turned on cold the degaussing coils operated ( to demagnetise the crt) over the 3 month period the fuse was stressed at switch on and eventually just melted the fuse wire!! Funny how it happened to 2 sets in the same timeframe!!!!

  10. Divide watts by voltage to give amps.Eg.500 watt divided by 240 volt = 2.08 amp.A kettle at 2000 watt is just over 8 amp but fuse has to be overated for the initial current draw when turned on.Otherwise it will keep blowing.

  11. Yea as mick said.make sure its a standard 5 amp plug fuse

  12. They done a sale. Just bought 400 thank you 👍

  13. Problem is these leads get lost and damaged and replaced with kettle leads. They are 13 amp but no one ever changes the fuse

  14. Definitely don't use 3 watt bulbs. The extra heat generated will damage the artwork and warp the lamp masks, and it will also bugger up the lamp drive circuits because of the higher current draw.

  15. Yeah don't use 3w will damage your artwork and rells only meant for a car these ones mate use the 1.2w or 2.2w ones
    1 point
  16. Most machines use 1.2W lamps as far as I'm aware. The older ones used to use 2.2W but this caused the lamp mask to distort eventually with the heat. 3W probably not a good idea. I'm sure the more experienced guys will comment.

  19. Otherwise I could sell you a lamp board and see if it fixes the issue but as I say no guarantee it will.

  20. Think lamp board is faulty but will still show green light. If it’s the lamp board not an issue I’ve got lots. Tested. Hopefully the mpu isn’t faulty as well.

  23. Hi,liverpool is a lovely place, must visit again.Ive had 3 of these, great games Lots of features, but epoch is surface mount tech so not easy to fix.If the board was not cleaned with ipa it will keep on rotting, hence it packing up.One stop spares is selling a working one for 65.Keep batt well away.I sold all mine for approx 250.each that is.good luck with it

  24. use thicker wire, I have 3 different sizes, the bigest for main power lines

  25. apart from anything else as well as your artwork heating up the MUX on the board will be too because your pulling too much current!
