  2. Pubs do that to reduce the volume as they don’t want it making much noise at all!

  3. That's awesome you got your old machine back again by chance!!! I agree, there's no getting rid of the bug once you've got it. However, it can be suppressed by buying, repairing and running an old Jaguar - there will be no spare money left for things like machines!

  6. The cashpot question, will remain a mystery forever I reckon. It caused some confusion at the time and when the layout/s were released. A few things that were strange/annoying about the machine. You can never hit the P on the word stop, if you have the dapple on the ? on the lemon, rather than skill stop, unless it's the only letter unlit. Also the hi-lo giving the same number was strange, but it could make you sometimes think, hmm perhaps I should just collect. The top hi-lo big money was a risk, because you could end up with just £1. In general there is some amount of thinking to be done as to what the best thing is to take or try for, because it's not always the one you think is best, such as taking the trail with the bonus life or a particular feature, depending on the reel set up.

  11. Morning Fella's , the re-build is coming on slowly but surely Decided to swap my 2p shuffle reel decks over with NDU and swap over the reelbands ..dirty job to say the least. Fitted some plastic plumbers tubing from Wickes to at least get some coin handling going its not pretty but its doing the job on new 10p's. My once working credit display has now decided to drop a segment very annoying The Fluorescent tubes are not working tried the tubes and starters inc the 5amp fuse with new ones still no joy so i guess its a duff ballast --further investigation needed or i may just go with the dreaded LED strips I have a flaky "Double" light that sometimes works ..changed the bulb holder but it still insists to play up just tapping the glass brings it back up very frustrating lol on the plus side I have an operational coin taking and paying NDU :-)

  13. Hey Nick, the £1 decal came with the chassis not sure if its original to be honest ive just cut it to shape and re-applied it with some glu-dots :-) Funny you should mention the Roms as im actually not sure if mine are £1 or £2 roms only time will tell if i can get it all up and running. Mr Warlord im probably just going to try and get it up and running in the short term (hopefully in the next 2 weeks) and then i can look to making it better in the long term at the mo im still trying to figure out how best to re-install the wiring loom without damaging it (BTW im using Ronnie's pics of his old NDU as a reference ) I have added some HD castors tonight so i can wheel it around and culdnt resist taking a few cheeky shots of how it will look next to my other pair of SRU's
