  1. Past hour
  2. All the best to everyone and a happy new year for 2026
  3. Today
  4. I've just uploaded the diagram for the early MPU3's which includes the daughterboard so I hope you find that useful. Do you mean how did I find out? Years of working on these and asking all the right questions I suppose.
  5. Don’t think it’s too early now as I’ve just clocked off until January. All the best to all.
  6. Hello. I found some 6561 modules at a reasonable price. Not without difficulty; in Germany. Otherwise, I would have liked to make the 6116 daughterboard. To be continued...
  7. Hey Stormy, nice to see you on here
  8. The cabs differed. Down Town was the UK94 short cab (the one after Dr Who). Yeah I'm pretty sure it was the same game as Make a Million.
  9. Last week
  10. Ah yes, I just found it. But not the diagram.
  11. Good evening. Okay for the daughterboard and the HM 6116. Yes, much cheaper. I saw a daughterboard in a video, but I can't find it anymore. I suppose there's a schematic to follow to make this daughterboard. Do you happen to have that schematic, please? Thanks
  12. OK, what you have to note here is the 6561 is a 256 byte x4 whereas the others are 1kb x 4 albeit they have the same footprint. You can tell the smaller RAM machines as they have a 74LS03 instead of a 74LS12 for IC24. These are most likey to be MOD 1 and possibly 2, 3 and upwards use the larger RAM. There are others though that have a daughter board with a 6116 chip and this either plugs into the existing RAM sockets or is soldered directly to the board. You can make your own daughter board up with the 6116 chip (or equivalent) as these are easily obtainable and cheap.
  13. Hello everyone Already, I have corrected the previous resolved topic because in thanks, I forgot to mention Northstar. 🙄 Well, here I am back for a new MPU3 episode. I'm anticipating a little. It's about 6561 RAM. Difficult to find or at exorbitant prices. In the diagram, we see different possibilities. 4334-6514- or 8414 but it is also specified 6561 for version 14600-2. I saw on a video the MWS5114 mounted in place. I also saw a single chip on a small circuit. Nothing seems to match in the data. What can be substituted? with or without modifications. THANKS.
  14. Scorpion 2 same cabinet as make a million etc same sort of gameplay
  15. Thank you, was described as not fully booting but worked previously so hopefully complete and not falling apart
  16. The bit we can see looks ok, lets hope she is complete. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞.
  17. Delighted to say I bagged this beauty recently! I only had one poor picture to decide in a very short time if I wanted it, good news is a courier has collected it for me and I will probably have a few weeks wait before it arrives! So we can all see together if it was a good buy or not. This was my guiding picture!
  18. @MattyL I could dump the S60 and S61. I would be happy if you have the 1-1 for me?
  19. Isn’t it a re-glass? I can’t remember what the original was if it is, but I’ve got a feeling it’s a clone of another game
  20. Have had the missing button decals redrawn by Mikonos, and the glass graphic has been printed and is on it's way to me, thanks to Mike for supplying good images of the buttons
