Anyone have a working JPM MPS1 board for sale? Alternatively, is there anyone who could repair mine?

No idea, which is of no help to you at all, but one thing i did learn after reading the mpu3 test sheets that Richie uploaded is that the 50p out and token refill meter are 50 volt and the rest are 12 volt with the meter sense on the 12 volt. (never realised that). Just shows how often you have or realise you have a meter fault.

Seriously impressive. Well done 👏🏻

Hi all, This should be an easy one if anyone has this machine. From what I can glean from a low res wiring picture I found, this game should have 12v meters with the violet connector which allows it to do a meter sense on the little circuit board it plugs in to. I've come across a version which appears to have 50v meters from what I can see from a picture of the machine. So, were there two versions, in which case why does it sometimes throw up a meter error on the alpha as there's no way as far as I'm aware there's any sensing of the meters on 50v?

Hello everyone looking forward to browsing the site and hopefully playing some games I used to play many years ago. Love the old 2p fruitys such as masterspy, winagain, spoof and many more from the 80s era.

Hi, I'm Scagsy from northern England and I have a question. How come, right, do none of the emu fruitys have that excitement-inspiring reel motor noise? You know, it goes 'brrrrup'. I NEED that noise! Hope you're all good.

Evening all, I have been wanting a s&g for a very long time! I have a tuppenny cracker which I can convert back, I have the top glass also, I'm now on the hunt for a bottom glass, small side glass, program card, and reels / reel bands, I would love to get this one rebuilt, to add to the collection. Is anyone in a position to help please? Let me know Much appreciated Mike

As title, does anyone own a Barcrest Super Blackjack club machine please.? I need the link connections for the coin mech routing plug, I have the coin mech (ME129 with a 126 sorter) sent to me here but the routing is all wrong. Apart from all the brown wire links it's one of those plugs that has the single wire fitted into the loom, I believe it's for the MPU to switch £1 coin tubes when one is full. I have MARS manuals which explains all the routing connections but, nothing to explain anything about or if this single wire is in the correct position. It's located in pin3 at the moment.. Thank you in advance for any help with this.

Trying searching “big ghoulies” instead of high spirits - you may find it -
no, for the bootstrap to be updated barcrest swapped out the program cards. the only way I found to change bootstrap version was to remove the chips and reprogram them. there is no file to shove a different bootstrap into a program card.

Good introduction post. as for high spirits it's not one i have heard of nor seen. however there is a video on youtube of "sure thing" here we have the roms for this but it keeps giving "pal error" after a few spins and doesn't want to play ball, that's in the emulator. -
Hi i love playing the fruit machines, thank you for having me.
-
Cheers will have a look at that, going on holiday tomorrow so might not get a chance.

Once you have the board out, put your meter into resistance test mode and put the probes a few mm apart on the green board surface near the battery. You should read absolutely nothing.
-
Do both of those rail voltages stay at +15v when they are connected to the board or drop? To be honest I would just get a new regulator on order and while you are waiting physically clean the rot off the board.
-
Did a quick check Ronnie on the 3rd pin I'm getting 0.6.
-
Cheers Ronnie will give that a go later see what I get.
-
That sounds ok, do you see that voltage on pin 3 of the regulator keeping one probe on black wire
-
Hi all eventually got time to check this,on the black and following the red to the board read's 15.46 and following the pink to the board read's just under at 15.35. I hope this is good I have my multimeter set at DC and 20 on the dial. Cheers Brian

the absolute BEST leaded solder is to J-STD-006A standard. difficult to buy at consumer level, and it is expensive stuff!! but I can tell you it is really good solder and is what is used to repair boeing and airbus electronics so has to be good!
