I thought that would be the case nick. i think I will go for the gold T moulding which is not ideal as I like originality but sometimes it’s just not possible and if a batch of original ever surfaces I can always change it.

Unfortunately al a lot of people inc myself have been after it but its not available which im sure you realise .im.sure there were a few.places in the states that was selling it quite a few years ago but it was more likely secondhand new t mould. Occasionally I see people on vid forums selling old new stock but its quite rare . It would no doubt be too costly to reproduce in small quantities.

Thanks for showing these two lovely old machines.

£200 seems alot for 3D printing. Tinker CAD design software is free and really easy to use. If you are 50% PC able you should be able to do a 3D design easy enough (with tutorials) within a week or so. I recommend a go... so many people and companies have printers now its not specialist at all. I'd be surprised if someone wouldn't print your design out for £20 . Also a VAC former is easy to make for small mask sections. We have one at work using a cooker heating element to heat the plastic in a frame, when it's ready the frame flips over (pivot in the center) on to a box with a gauze and the mold sitting on. The box is sealed and connected to a hoover to create the vacuum.

Anyone come across anywhere selling this type of T Moulding? I’ve seen it used on Maygay MMM and Bell Fruit Black Box machines(I’m sure I remember coffee tables using it) The project I’m currently working on(will post on here soon)uses this type but it’s too far gone to use. Ideally I’d prefer the original double grooved over a brand new flat chrome or gold but that’s the way I will have to go if it can’t be sourced.

I saw Ed yesterday 😀 he isn’t doing fruits anymore sadly he is very knowledgeable with all aspects with fruit machines in many departments ,, he’s into video machines and alike now and as already got a good collection on 80’s videos ,,

Hello "For fun only" was the law. To say that these machines didn't make money. (what a joke) So on these French versions, there are no tubes for coins. If I won, for example, 500 francs, I signaled to the café owner, who came to note the win. He pressed a button on top of the machine, which reset the counter to zero. And gave me my 500 francs in cash. The machine was ready again. Here are some photos.

Yes there was a fella on here who made a set Line Up lamp masks on his 3D printer. They certainly looked the part too from what I remember. I'll have to see if I can find the thread.

"uniquement pur amusement" on the left machine. "Uniquement pur amusement" is a phrase that translates to "solely for pure fun" or "just for amusement" I'd guess its payouts are unplugged or a fuse removed.

Welcome, good that you're up and running on the forum. The two machines look in good condition.

Hello I can finally read the messages. Thanks to Generation.😉 So here it is, I have two 1980 French Version Ambassadors. It doesn't distribute winnings. No money. Everything happens on the meter display. Equipped with the MPU3. Well, it doesn't work completely. 🙄 If anyone needs the schematics or the eprom files, I have them. I think I also have the eprom files for the MPU2. I'll check. Thanks Sorry for my poor english. Translate by google

Ed on here re-made them, and uploaded the files on here I believe. Last I heard he was out of the game, as couldn’t be doing with all the whinging from people.

Well I may need to look into this...I have a couple of projects that need lamp masks. Plastic doesn't age well
-
I thought somebody on here printed some masks fairly recently so it wouldn't take too much to redesign to make yours. It'll probably need to be made in two parts as it's quite long for most home based printers. I'm not volunteering though!!

I did enquire with a printer...they wanted £200 to do the 3d scan, which seems a bit spicy. I didn't ask how much the printing would be 🤔

Hi Okay, me again. I still can't read the threads. ERROR I can write. I see that some people have responded to my presentation, but I can't read the replies. The administrator isn't responding to my request. So, I'm still at the same point. I'm banned from reading. See you one day; I hope.

Hard to get hold of the mask s are and guess it would of been a case of 3d printing otherwise.

Started repairing the Nudge Double Up today. Fortunately I managed to find someone who had some old SRU plastic lampholders that they no longer required. Big thanks to Dave from Fleetwood, you're a star

Agree Matty, have had endless troubles with that type of connection over the years too. MPU4 were a bad design compared to MPU3. You can't beat a solid soldered, or crimped, connection!
