  3. yeah its in the hands of the profiteers now, when available from rs they were 17p each if i remember correctly oh they were sot-23 package so tiny for 2a rating, cant remember any more now as it was some years ago when i was into maygay m1 boards
  4. Well yeah... that's surface mount and the same size as using a old school tip116 which has the advantage of actually having legs to solder to, always check up of parts suggested by Ai as it often hallucinates and gets it totally wrong
  5. Yesterday
  6. Then some hi res images too a good one for @Pook to make??
  7. Some on eBay nearly 3 quid each! Might just pinch one from a faulty board for now. can you remember the smd part Id? thanks Ronnie
  8. your proberly need a new working cpu card, these get damaged by the battery which leaks and vents, if it has really been left for a long time this can affect the impact motherboard causing track and component damage as well.
  9. there are some surface mount transistors which have the same ratings, and i did have a plan to fit these to a small pcb with legs so would be a drop in replacement. but that never happened for reasons most will know
  10. my research has found there is nothing that is a simple 'drop in replacement' everything needs some alteration. you could use a tip116, but the legs don't fit in the holes and have a different pinout, as you have found tipp116 went obsolete some years ago.
  11. Thanks looks like these are obsolete if there is nothing compatible might need to gamble on eBay
  12. no, that's just a normal transistor, not a Darlington transistor
  13. Anyone know a suitable replacement for a tipp116 as found in mps lamp drives would a 2N3904 work? or any other that would? Thanks Ronnie
  14. Anyone here repair or test JPM impact 1 boards for a 1995 Cluedo quiz machine.. machine won’t start up.. thank you.
  15. Can you dump the ROMs for this? Would be nice to see this emulated. πŸ™‚
  16. 12 volt T10 Wedge bulb, 1.2 or 2 Watt, I imagine if most of yours are dimmer they are 1.2 watt and you may have a few rogue 2 watt fitted. The 1.2 watt are better anyway as they are kinder on the artwork, plastics and electronics as they generate less heat / load. There could also be an issue with lamp drivers etc but sort the lamps out first.
  17. Last week
  18. Happy days, what a nice clean board πŸ‘
  19. What a result Ronnie, great machine πŸ‘Œ
  20. Thanks guys I’m loving it! Managed to crack one its own mpu looks like I just caught the battery in time! Wet patch under the crusty battery, Otherwise the board is very clean
  21. Beautiful ronnie .nice little run on 10p wins there lol!
  22. Well.. reseated a lot of connectors, and everything seems to be running in door open mode. Which..tbh.. is ok. I'm not going to fill this machine with Β£150 of loose change I don't have. Bulbs!!. Most are dim, some are burnt out. What is the bulb number to replace them with. It's a wedge style bulb. Thanks. Statto
  23. Will try and do it again, if not will upload to youtube
