I think the topic is closed because the machine works now well. In conclusion, when the 4538 is in place, the machines works by itself (so it complies with the legislation written on the front glass). She is a vending machine. Without the 4538, it's possible to play like with any other coin machine. Thanks a lot for your help đđđ.

It's exactly the same for both machines. When I switch on a machine, three seconds later, the reset line becomes high (5 Volts) and stays that way. - On the coinmaster Princess, three seconds after switching on, the reset line becomes high, a music sounds and the bulbs start flashing. - On the Regent, three seconds after switching on, the reset line becomes also high but nothing else happens.

Hi I also have the blue board, I take picture later this day. So cange C6 for a new part may help ?
-
ASo. theres a few versions of the sound card, and I had similiar issues recently. Two blue versions the known green version, thatâs common and the all square green version, youâve pictured the early blue /green cards, are in very few games, and later got change to the other variants - before changing to the green version. Are you sure the machine came with a green version as standard? Are you swapping for same style of green version? I was told (not sure if itâs correct) that c6 causes issues.

Nice machine Nic. Used to love playing this. There was one in my local arcade, but kids (cough) used to rub their feet on the carpet and give the coin mech some static, causing it to payout 10p. Soon got removed from the arcade floor alas.

I've got a nifty nudge .not sure how many are left but there were three about quite some years ago now but two were broken up . They came In 5p and 10p formats.
-
Fair point. I don't actually have the space for one...but I'm sure I could make room
-
People that own them probably want to keep them for the same reason you want one

What happened to all the machines like Nifty Nudge/Sidewinder/Eachway Shifter etc? There must be a few out there kicking around, but they never come up for sale

can u take a pic of the game card and roms? i do roms etc.

Hello. I received the new 4538 but, when I put it back in place, the buttons Start, Gamble and Take a lot don't work. So I think that I will keep it removed because the machine works good without it, even if it's stange. I was afraid that it prevents the reset ( half 4538 is used for reset ) but there are no dysfunctions, so.....

Great to see you back no one truly leaves.

I recall the thread you speak of and unfortunately it ran into a dead end I did find this of super sidewinder that has some pics of the boards maybe that could be a clue?

In many ways, I did. I still don't consider myself back full time, but I've sort of been nudged back by seeing what the likes of John Parker et al are doing. If I can lend a pair of hands or a set of eyeballs than great. A certain person's video series has provoked my interest in the old code, too.

Wow not seen that name around for many a year! Welcome back. I didn't know you were a different username over there, I just assumed that you'd retired from the scene like so many others.
-
Hello. I'm sorry, you are right, it's not IC25 but IC5 that I removed. As soon as I get a new CD4538, I give news.
-
I'm a bit confused, do you mean the CD4538 (IC5) ? Glad you got it working though.

Seeing as I can't change the account name to agemame to match DIF, I thought I'd reintroduce myself. I've mainly tried to emulate the video techs and the most novel stuff, but as I look through I realise how much of this could still disappear, so I'm trying to get back into the resource hunt.
