Yeah nice job... gives us something to aim for! Do boards like this work usually or is are you expecting to have to start testing the IC's?

Not too much done today, tracks checked today again for pitting etc under the microscope, and meter checked for continuity, all was good, could not find anything I might have missed. So board heated to remove any unwanted moisture for a couple of hours and red solder resist applied to both sides of he board.

Brilliant layout as per and yes a lot of work has gone into this. I know many may prefer a DX but a classic can be more enlightening(take that Intrigue video I did on DIF). There is a knack in turning it off and on. It was like nothing else on the plugging side that was similar to it but you will know it has given it once you have "flicked' it and you can hear it ticking instead(don't worry, it won't explode). Free creds worked on this along with Cloud 999, Blue Moon, Big Chief, Apache, Cash Zone, Take Two, Super Two and if memory jogs I think Gamball worked too.

Glad to see that this as now emulated Some work as gone in too this! Just wondering on the hidden feature it only shows Β£1 win but on the real machine this can be anything from 60p to the jackpot not that it comes around very very often!!. Just wondering why it only pays that in emulator and why the letting lights up as on the real machine its only the jokers face and not the letters. I know nothing at all about emulator never played one.. wondering if you can tell me if this can be done. Tried the switch off three times fast but not got the nine credit's will give that a few more times just too make sure.

    Another Maygay M1 board repair

The normal ram will go back in this one for now, I don't need to use this board so I store them working with normal ram, then if I need one I then put the batteryless ram on, I like to store them working as original as possible. Just done the underside, bit of discoloration to the tracks so cleaned the area off and just the one track had suffered with parts of the track pitted, so for piece of mine the track is remade, the rest were spot on and perfect! little bit more cleaning still to do I can now see from the picture taken but that's it for tonight!

Nice work Andrew as always! You're track repairs are a work of art. Will you be fitting you're special Ram to this one?

I do enjoy it Mike, I just work through the various tracks until I find it's done and can move onto the next bit! If I didn't have to earn a living like we ll do, then I would happily sit at home working through boards! But that's not a option sadly! Next area now done, the battery area!!! looks like this now... and overall the whole area looks like this!

Not done anything to this board until last night and today (real life gets in the way) so I have now just finished the tracks in the RAM area, from about a couple of definitely broken tracks I ended up doing a good few more! reason being they were eaten away at the sides of the tracks and I like to try and cover likely failures of the tracks for the future, this is what tends to make the boards reliable (learnt the hard way, do only whats broken and they tend to fail again very shortly after causing the boards back to not booting!) this is the progress so far!
