Hi everyone, I’ve always had an interest in classic fruit machines and many years ago I owned a Barcrest Old Timer. While sorting through some old electronics recently, I found two original service EPROMs that I received directly from an authorised Norwegian service company when my Old Timer was stuck in an error state. They were labelled “CLEAR PROM 1” and “CLEAR PROM 2”, and they brought the machine back to life after temporarily installing them. I’m currently preserving the contents by reading the EPROMs, and I’m looking forward to learning more about them and contributing anything that might be useful to the community.
