  2. Thanks Bob, it always helps to have that extra set of eyes (i think we used to call it proof reading). I have corrected it on the master and will wait to re-upload as i am sure there will be more.👍

    Help Please

Iv looked in my archives and I don’t have it but this Facebook group might be able to help, someone posted a video of his pub landlord machine here https://www.facebook.com/groups/167535251815758/
  4. Today
  5. The only minor detail I've found so far is you have 2x T2's. The top one should be T4 if I'm not mistaken.
  6. Thanks Nick. I've just watched a vid and the 1st reel, most times, only spins a fraction of a revolution. It does spin longer during some sort of game feature but on my test rig I've got no way of knowing when that might be happening? I really need a reel test feature in the self tests, which there isn't.
  7. Anyone want a 2012 Al Murray's pub landlord fruit machine for spares or repairs; no cost just remove it for me Please Ps it's stuck at error 91
  8. Jim im sure barcrest made a lot more than two of them lol ! Couldn't believe it when I saw it and had to pause and rewind for this screen shot .just ironic that id been following your post and this turns up on an episode totally unexpected.
  9. Well spotted, so there were at least two of them unless it is the same one, i cant believe the times i have watched the professionals and never noticed that. Not seen anything fot MPU2 although it is basically an MPU1 with extras if you look at the two side by side you can see the MPU1 circuitry in the MPU2. Infact MPU2 looks like a limousine version of MPU1. If i had an MPU2 i could probably extend the existing diagram to include the extras, although the MPU1 ended up the size of A2 so MPU2 would probably end up on a roll of wall paper 🤣
  10. Just watching an episode of the professionals called "the gun" from 1980 .low and behold there's a nippy nudger in a cafe scene .nice juke bix next to it too .
  11. Top Work that. On sort of the same issue are there any drawings about for MPU2?
  12. Theres a game called exchanger by maygay which uses pcl i think bob .steve lancett currently owns one. It seems to have a decent reel spin time .
  13. That's a nice job youve done there
  14. Yesterday
  15. Had a quick scan and it looks good. When I get some spare time I'll look a bit deeper but well done and thanks for posting.👍
  16. Ok, after sorting this out and she is now running as she should ( just the cabinet to sort out which is nearly finished), i thought i would have a go at doing a full schematic for the MPU1 seeing as there does not appear to be one around. I will make my excuses now........ It`s not perfect, it has probably aged my eye sight by trying to backwards engineer a pcb to a schematic ( thank god it is 70s tech and not triple layer). MISTAKES THERE WILL BE so if anyone notices any let me know and i will check and correct them. It is a big file, it ended up on A2 size and i still ran out of space (appologies for having to cram the rom cartridge in). But it is a start and all being well we can crack it from here. 19. Here's an odd request. I'm doing a few PCL boards which have reel issues The self tests that I have found so far don't have any reel tests and for anyone that's played these machines reel 1 barely spins which makes it difficult to know if it's running correctly. The few games software I've tried so far are Jokers wild, Quick shot and Double up and the self tests are very limited. There also doesn't appear to be a switch option for longer spins either! Apart from manipulating the code which is way out of my knowledge base does anyone know of any games that may have a longer spin? As far as I know there aren't any diagnostic ROMs for this tech which is a pain.
  20. It is the serial interface the blue connector on the mpu4 program card?
  21. Last week
  22. Thank you superbank. I will print off tomorrow and have a look. Although it looks like i need a special mpu4 programme card with serial interface.🤔
  23. Here you go 🙂 Thanks to the original uploader @loo mpu4 video manual.pdf
  24. I have myself another project to tinker with. I like the mpu4 technology so to add to the collection I have a video mpu4 module. It is in clean condition with a mightly 68000 at the core. I plan to connect it up with my luckly strike mpu4 and an arcade monitor but I cannot find a manual for the video board or the machine. Does anyone have one or data on the connection?
  25. I did start it a few years ago, I'll have a dig through some old harddrives.
  26. Just a heads fellas ,recently a guy I know and friend looked into altering the code for both machines to lift the gamble block from £10 to £100 .ive had stake up for many years and whilst I love this lovely old clubber it annoyed me that i couldn't have a proper gamble on it .this is now rectified. Also done is the ludicrous jp tune given for wins on £12 or above .this is now £25 or£50 depending on bank 2 dip 7 setting . I genuinely think this has now enhanced the gameplay significantly as every win can now be gambled upto £100. The new deluxe or improved roms for both machines have now been dumped on here so feel free to play them or add to an emulator. Ive done a couple of vids on my YouTube channel (sulzerned) so enjoy either way . All the best Nick
  27. Hi! I am a 41-year-old enthusiast from the Netherlands. I currently own a physical PowerStars slot machine and have decided to start a conversion project. My goal is to transform the cabinet into a multi-game system using an emulator. Or at least, I'll be trying I want to modernize the internal hardware while keeping the original feel of the machine. Integrate a PC, retain the original hardware (hopper, coin acceptor) as much as I can and add new monitors. The current one seem to break down a lot.. I hope to gain technical knowlegde and inspirtation here for my project.
  28. Hi everyone, I’m from the Czech Republic and I’m interested in repairing older fruit machines, especially ones that are no longer working. I mainly focus on JPM machines, as they were probably the most common ones here in the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, documentation for them is very hard to find, so I’m hoping to learn more here and maybe get some advice on repairing System 5 and Compact 3 boards. I already have the emulator and it’s great, but let’s be honest – pressing the space bar is not the same as pressing a real button on the machine. I really admire enthusiasts who put their time and effort into keeping these older machines alive and repairing them. Thanks and I’m looking forward to learning from you all.
