  1. Past hour
  2. This is something I come across all the time ie lack of documentation on how later additions to a tech are not available. The only way to get to the bottom of these things is to trace out all the associated wiring and document it, at least then others can cast an eye over it and perhaps make more informed suggestions. I do find this fascinating as I've never worked with hoppers (all too new ). I'm sure you'll crack it Ronnie. Bonne chance as they say in France.
  3. Today
  4. So I swapped the hopper board but no change! next I swapped the mpu for one I have just replaced all the components in the battery area, caps diodes transistors etc repaired 3 tracks, board is booting fine but I now get a hopper jammed error! But the hopper does not try to run like it did with the other board I would have swapped the hopper board but it was borrowed and I gave it back im now thinking (clutching at straws) does the lamp extender board play any part in hopper drive as it has a few white wires that I presume go to the mpu white plug, I may have to give up on this one! thanks Ronnie
  5. Hello all, Old timer from late 90s- early 2000s era looking to relive the good old days
  6. Last week
  7. I do get that outlook, but without parts - all I’m doing is offering an empty fucked shell which I now need to keep dry, and be around for it to be collected. With all the dreamers and timewasters out there, it’s dead time and effort. I’m very very busy most days, out and about; not just machines 24/7. Last thing I want is to be restricted (likely in middle of day) to give something for free, with a strong possibility of a no show. However, I do always notice a weird trend…. Here’s an example. A FREE EMPTY CAB - people act like flies round shit. A complete cab, with £300 of parts inside - listed for £300, ….. much harder. Find the logic 🙈 I have given away empty cabinets before, but when they’re this rotten, and so little desirable it’s a different story.
  8. The base was missing as well by the looks of things . Maybe of offered it out all the same.and if no takers then id have scrapped it .
  9. +1 for the above response, just worked for me thanks. Just to add for future readers, I used the last 6 digits of the notes reader serial number for the BNV key in test options.
  10. Big banker scrapped. Thought I’d break it down… All singing and dancing it’s a 450/500 machine, it’s never going to hit that as cabinet so bad…let’s say it hits £350…. After things like cleaning, mech update, wood /screws and loads time fixing cab - it’s going to be around £220 after tax parts is value at 250/300…. So to machine heaven it can go, not worth the time. Here’s few pics of cab 😂😂
  11. I love it Ron, what a fantastic job you have done 👏 I need to give mine a bit of love as well, when I get the time! fancy doing another one 😅
  12. Ah ok missed that in the details that’s the right colour then
  13. Cheers ronnie . Its says on the details that it s ral 7001
  14. For the black I used dulux exterior masonry black only because I had a big tin from a diy job lol
  15. This is the one I used but don’t see the Ral number and can’t remember what it was I will check the can https://amzn.eu/d/0i4GCqCF
  16. Cheers ron itll certainly be good to.knoe the code .Great job done by hand on the spray . Yeah ive seen the water replant chip board stuff but personally id still paint it . I use universal primer and top in one https://amzn.eu/d/0ciqdzkk
  17. Thanks nick the base was flooring grade chip board water repellant apparently ! I used a spray can for the frames I will find the ral code in a bit, never used lacquer I think the paint is a good brand hopefully
  18. Some pictures of the machine completed
  19. Oh very nice ronnie ,very nice indeed 👌. Ive used pine board to replace the base sections before as i dont fully trust chip board or mdf but it looks great what youve done .id advise you paint the bare wood for added protection with matt black paint We're the frames sprayed with an air sprayer or my hand aerosol? What was the the RAL colour code you used as it looks so very good indeed. Did you laquer them afterwards?
  20. The newly made small glass was fitted along with the missing button decals
  21. The whole cab was cleaned inside and out and any bits not right replaced such as tube level sensor rubber bands etc
  22. Then the frames were painted in a matched ral colour
  23. Chips and dings to the wood grain cabinet were filled and painted to Match as best I could get
  24. So the dowels all needed re glued as the cabinet was rocky, sides were separated with wedges and glue applied then strapped closed as pics above, then the base had to be re made with new wood to sides and rear
  25. I’ll check that, and let you know
  26. Does the date on the bottom glass say 85 mark?
