Are You a Spambot ?

  1. Hi there. I have a mayday machine of pick your pasos. I was playing one day and I got jackpot but had less than 20 in the pot and the alarm sounded. I turned off and on again like many times before to reset the payout but it got stuck with the LD1 Flashing, LD3, LD4, LD5 and LD2 are solid and L6 is off. The battery was removed before leakage and was working fine in a home environment. I have a video of boot up to show what happens if that helps anyone. Thanks
  2. Hi there I have recently brought an impulse Pick your pasos fruit machine. it had slight damage from battery leakage but i have fixed that. I was playing yesterday and it was all fine and then the PSU started making a weird noise. i moved the machine up some stairs and plugged it all back in but the power supply seemed to stop working. does anybody have the pin out for the PSU / Power Supply so i can check the voltages. Also, on the main board (the one with the game and sound cards) and the LD1, LD2 and LD6 are not lighting up at all and the ALPHA lcd board doesn't get power at all. its not the cables but i think its the screen its self. Thanks in advanced
  3. Hi, I have a maygay instant millionaire fruit machine and I'm having some problems with lamps. Some of the lamp holders are shining way too brightly and burning the bulbs out quickly. however once I noticed this I have removed the bulbs.... In other lamp holders some of them work and some don't even though they seem to be on the same circuit. Ive checked and replaced every bulb on the machine. The ones that don't work or way too hot I have left empty. Any ideas what this could be? not sure how to identify the lamp board in the machine however it is a maygay M1B motherboard and does show lamp sockets. I have taken pictures and attached them to my gallery...Nudgepot led display not working either.....Thanks in advance for any help. p.s how do I download the technical manual?
  4. Hi I have a maygay instant millionaire fruit machine and I'm having some problems with lamps. Some are shining way too brightly and burning bulbs out... most of the lamps work normally but there are some that don't work even though they seem to be on the same circuit. I am a newbie to this. I have attached pictures to my gallery with descriptions of area and faults. The motherboard is a maygay mb1 game vs 1.1 nudgepot led display does not work and not sure whether the fault is on the motherboard or a separate board in the machine. The led lights on the motherboard light up on power up but only 5 of 6 light up. then once the machine boots? it shows 3 red led llghts on. On the motherboard there are lamp sockets for the cables. what would cause the lamp surge? or certain lamps to not work even when replaced with new bulbs? hope some can please please help me with this. I want to restore the machine to fully working....it does function though just the lights partially work. sorry for lots of questions desperate to solve this as I love this machine. just ordered a new backup battery as this has not leaked as yet but looking like its not far away and getting a ram clear sometimes when power has not been on for a while. Thank you :) Mwah xx
  5. I have an EPOCH MPU board that probably gone south, although I'm not 100% certain. No, i'm not just going to replace it as thats what everybody seems to do, then throws the old ones away which is stupid as these are going to become rarer and rarer. Simplified problem: The machine boots (partially) and most of the lights go in to demo mode, and reels attempt to move. But nothing more. Now for the techy bit. The problem in detail Power supply was buggered to start off with, as there was no -12v rail, which turned out to be a faulty cap whos ESR was way way way off the scale. I also replaced all of the caps on the board while I was there as some of them were a little bit suspect after 20 years. This stabilized all of the rails some what and got rid of some excess ripple that would never have helped. I also discovered a fault resistor, well at least what i thought was faulty anyway, R20 in the PSU which is the drop from the 240v mains power in to an opto-isolator via a dioide, was burnt and I was unable to ascertain the exact value. I believe that it is meant to be 100k, but I can't be sure as the colours were burnt off! This will adversely effect (and this is where I am guessing now) the sync pulse and/or the line power sense which could be the fault, but without a diagram or such, its difficult to say. The MPU board battery had burst, no surprise. It has destroyed a multitude of tracks, and taken a surface resistor and generally made quite the mess. Once the PSU was sorted, this board wouldn't boot properly and only three lights would show up. I repaired all of the broken tracks, replaced the surface mount resistor and cleaned up everything checked and double checked. The board now lights up correctly with top to bottom lights as follows. ON, OFF, ON, ON, ON, PULSE. The game then boots as described above. So I scour the web for a manual, diagram, schematic and none can be found, well the one I did find is in the maygay manual and is of such poor quality that I can't read it! The serial output lines have data on, and appear correct but again need more info on output pulses! It would appear as if the FPGA is not being programmed correctly on boot, as ROMS 2 and 3 are not being accessed. Chip enable should be pulled low and they are not, BUT this could be normal operation as we are only currently in demo mode. ROMS 0 and 1 are enabled and AFAIK are outputting correctly. This could just be a partial boot problem or it could be a dead FPGA, i am not sure. All of the pins on the FPGA test as per the Datasheet, but its a little ambiguous. The 16MHZ crystal is oscillating perfectly with a beautiful sine wave so no issues there The bottom line is, I know that I can repair this board, but I NEED a schematic or a better quality copy of the maygay manual. Or alternatively answers to some of the queries! Just to recap, R20 in PSU - What is the value? SYNC Pulse - What frequency/amplitude? Pink cable - Currently outputting a sine signal of aprox 4.7v, is this correct and again, frequency/amplitude? MPU - Are all roms accessed simultaneously? I will keep working on the board, as being able to actually REPAIR these rather than replace, would be eternally useful to all. So If any one has any info, it would be of great help. Thanks, Jody
  6. Hi, Need some parts and wondered if any of you guys have any of the following kicking around. I am after: MAYGAY jackpot/cashpot led readout board (the three digit ones ones that use three red 7-segment led displays to show £200 jackpot etc - SEE PHOTO) 1x cabinet strut / gas ram strut (to fit Maygay Elegance cabinet although they are all probably the same) MAYGAY Elegance cabinet top plastic moulding that goes at the very top Red MAYGAY Elegance side strip end piece from the upper cabinet (the small inch-by-two-inch joint cover plate that goes on the end of the painted metal side frame at the top where the plastic top moulding begins Coin Controls / Money Controls 20p hopper (and hopefully a connector that fit's the four pin hopper socket that i can use to make a lead up) Thanks guys. DREW.
  7. Just a quicky... Found this rattling around behind a psu in a 2002 cabinet. It's dated 1993 (although re-dated in marker pen on the rear with 2000) and appears to have never been mounted (adhesive pads still papered) Just curious if it's junk or not. For reading stored memory data?
  8. I have a couple of old fruit machines that I am clearing out- one a Maygay inferno, the other a Barcrest Shark I had several members here interested in buying these, however due to me being in Hospital I have been unable to arrange anything Folks PM me if interested
  9. Hi, i switched on my machine as normal and it all seemed ok, then the display says reel error 2.1 and sounds an alarm. I dont know what has caused this it seems pretty random, I Any help would be appreciated as i have not got a clue what to do Thanks
  10. Hey all, I recently just bought my self a Club Monopoly 1.1 Fruit machine. I bought it for £50 knowing the coin input was not working. Still I bought it and found alls that was needed was the plug a leas into the mechanism. Anyway, now I just would like some help with other things. Firstly, I cant get the refill key to work on the machine. it fits and turns but nothing happens... Also the machine does not pay out when you ''Collect' it just makes a sound as if it is paying out when it doesn't. I know it isn't the solenoids as they work fine when i go into test mode. I'm not sure what the problem is but i think it may be because i cant get the cash box or back door switch to work so it may think they are open? Oh and one more thing. The machine plays sounds suck as features and so on but there is no music playing in the background like I thought there would be. I have seen two pins on the MPU that say speaker and there are two connectors that I think should go in there but when I tried it I blew a main 12 V fuse... Whoops. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Also i can send any pictures that are required
  11. Hey, just joined to ask for some help with my Maygay monopoly club 1.1 machine Please look at my posts and see if you can help me: http://www.fruitemu.co.uk/ib/index.php?/topic/15255-help-needed-with-maygay-club-monopoly-11-machine-please/ http://www.fruitemu.co.uk/ib/index.php?/topic/15260-help-needed-with-reel-error-21-maygay/
  12. I have a maygay Simpsons beer guide which has stopped working. I bought it about 5 years ago and it worked fine. Not used it in a while tho. Last year I turned it on and the alarm came on so I quickly turned it off. Yesterday I turned it on and it does nothing at all. No alarm, or sounds, just buzzes quite loud. sometimes when I turn it on it has question marks all over the display. I will post some pics in a min from my phone. On another post someone said the battery could have leaked. Could that be my problem? Thanks, Darren.
  13. I recently bought a Maygay Club Monopoly machine. It's in need of new bulbs and locks, but also it's not filling properly. The pound coins fill tube A to the brim then jam, despite there being two other tubes free (B and C). 20p's fill fine. Can anyone help? I actually tried filling it again, and this time the coins got stuck in the filling mechanism. Now the machine is beeping loudly displaying 10p filling error! argh. Funnily enough if the back door opens it is accepting coins fine (although still not in the right tube. Someone please help, I'll try to upload a youtube video to demonstrate the problem..
  14. Hi I have a maygay corronation Street fruit machine. its not working i believe it is the battery on the main board at fault. is anybody interested in buying it from me?
  15. Hello everyone I recently got given a maygay the simpson (blue) because it was not working . I had look and found out the battery had leaked so I replaced the mpu with a new one (well off ebay that wasn’t new but hey) and it works but now the lcd screen stays on for about 30seconds then goes off but the machine still functions properly?? Can anyone shed any light (pun not intended)?
  16. Hi, does anyone know where I can find a manual for an Impulse “Wipe Out “fruit machine, I am only after the manual for the dip switch settings on the epoch board, I have the Tech manual but not the one for this game play. Any Help will be much appreciated. Cheers. Peter.
  17. Hi Everybody, I have just picked up an old Maygay Coronation Street machine which does not work. I have some basic knowledge of what i should be looking at and seems to be the mpu is not coming out of reset to turn the +12v relay on. i just hope somebody here can help. Barry.
  18. Hi, I hope somebody can help me. I have managed to pick up an old Maygay coronation Street machine which does not work. I have some basic knowledge of what i should be looking at but need some help. It seems like there is a problem with the mpu not coming out of reset to allow the +12v to work. Has anybody got any ideas? Barry.
  19. Hi Guys. I am after some help with a problem I have with me Global Tales of the unexpected fruit machine ( Epoch), It was working fine then as I put some more money in the machine just stopped working and all the lamps went out as if the machine was switched off; The only light on is a flashing red LED by the refill switch and a pulsing hiss from the speaker, I opened the machine and found all the lights on the PSU are on, the only lights lit on the main processor board are +12v -12V +vlogic the rest are off, I have removed the battery and all looks to be ok around there. Any help would be much appreciated. Pete
  20. Epoch spares finally arrived, and have changed ALL of the boards. Was a struggle to get it to boot to start with (Kept getting a strim error, but eventually sorted it, swapping the mech with ACE Cash Raider, and BOTH now work, and also fixed a reboot fault with CR to boot), but finally got it working..... sort of. I can not for the life of me get it to go in to test mode (Test credits or full test mode), one lamp is out (£1 cash / Bart), one is running dim (Right corner, 4th one down / Lisa +1), and now the alpha has just died on me, along with a dead hopper. Now I have checked the obvious like dead bulbs, ran BOTH lamp boards etc, but I am pretty much out of ideas what to check next. Anyone got any ideas, apart from Player's fave epoch dismantling tool?
  21. Hi all, Just a quick post for anyone here who might not be aware... I've written an emulator for Maygay's Epoch tech - the core of which is now pretty much complete. Unfortunately we're missing a large number of sound ROMs for the library of machines. There is a list of everything that we have or is missing here: http://epochfme.webs.com/ I was wondering if anyone here had any, or might know anyone that has access to any? I have a programmer so can dump chips. I'd possibly be willing to pay for the sound chips for certain machines. Many thanks for any responses
  22. Can anyone help. I have a Maygay CASHFLOW fruit machine. Twice the hopper ran out of money so investigated to discover that it has been giving out free credits. Basically you put your money in ie £1 play your games then press the start button and voila more credits are given - can anyone suggest the problem & its solution? Couldn't find anyone to repair so thought I would have a go myself but need all the help I can get. Thanks in advance.
  23. hi ppl this is my first post on any forum so hope its in the right place and im doing it right lol. after reading a lot of forums cant find my answer lets start from the top i will give as much info as poss i bought a luxor casino maygay for £20 it had the dreaded 6.0 met error so i cleaned the battery area as it had leaked and snipped it out and wired it up away from the board then still had error then twigged its probs because the guy before was a donut and cut the meters off i just connected all the wires togeather the 4 blues and 1 white then hey presto worked reconised coins put them in the right place played properly but wont pay out and tested everything in test mode hopper still dosnt work however when i put my hand in and press the button in the hopper that registers the coins exiting the hopper, the machine reconised it. so im a bit stumped to as why its not working is there anyway to test the motor in the hopper please help has it got something to do with the meters not wired correctly? will up load picks of hopper wiring and meter wiring. thnx in advance for any answers
  24. Hey Everyone, I joined this forum a few days ago to try and get some advice and learn more about fruit machines in general as well as my Maygay club Monopoly machine (£250 jackpot). There are several articles similar on the internet however none of the advice given to those individuals has helped me so far. I've been working on this problem for 3 days off and on around work. I am quite confident to have a go and things being an electronics engineer however I do worry about irreparably damaging things I know very little about. I have a technical manual for my machine and cant help but think there should be a game manual as well but i haven't found a copy on the internet yet. The coin mechanism seems to be working for the most part it will direct all 10p and 50p pieces straight down to the cash box as it should. also all 20p pieces are routed in the correct tube and once full they will overflow down into the cash box correctly. The £1 coins are all directed into one of the three £1 tubes, it has a micro switch fitted top and bottom. I assume this is the correct one, as it has no mechanical overflow facility. Am I right in thinking once the top micro switch make contact with a coin, the mechanism should start sending coins into the other £1 tube? As the second tube has an overflow into the third tube which in turn has an overflow into the cash box. However this change over is not happening. the first £1 tube just fills up and up until it jams the coin mechanism. Also the light on the front to show that there is not enough money for an large payout is lit all of the time. I have removed and tested the micro switches on the tubes and replaced them back in their original positions, they all seem to be working, have a 12V feed in and when switched the power flows through the inbuilt diode and there is a 5V status change on the output that feeds all the way back to the board which is an M1b. Also I assume as the machine things it is low on funds it will not pay out £1 coins. I have had a pay out up to a maximum of £3 in 20p pieces but then it will lock up and an open back reset is required to clear it and continue playing. I have tested all of the payout solenoids and they all work in test mode but will not pay out during a game. When I called up an error report on screen I got the following information: Error 0 1.4 Error 1 1.4 Error 2 1.4 Error 3 2.5 Error 4 4.6 Error 5 4.2 However I have no information as to what they mean. The technical manual I have states a C435R Top Entry Validator however the machine has a ME115TS unit with a Me155 Coin Seperator Module. Is this possibly the issue? I am sorry for the essay but I was hoping to include as much as I could. I hope someone can help me get to the bottom of this problem. The back up battery is still on the board and from reading around I am seriously considering removing it and locating it somewhere else on fly leads. Is this a good idea? There is absolutely no damage to the board at the minute and the battery does look quite new. Thanks in advance for any help and if any more information is needed please ask and I will do my best to assist. Allan
