  3. hi ppl this is my first post on any forum so hope its in the right place and im doing it right lol. after reading a lot of forums cant find my answer lets start from the top i will give as much info as poss i bought a luxor casino maygay for £20 it had the dreaded 6.0 met error so i cleaned the battery area as it had leaked and snipped it out and wired it up away from the board then still had error then twigged its probs because the guy before was a donut and cut the meters off i just connected all the wires togeather the 4 blues and 1 white then hey presto worked reconised coins put them in the right place played properly but wont pay out and tested everything in test mode hopper still dosnt work however when i put my hand in and press the button in the hopper that registers the coins exiting the hopper, the machine reconised it. so im a bit stumped to as why its not working is there anyway to test the motor in the hopper please help has it got something to do with the meters not wired correctly? will up load picks of hopper wiring and meter wiring. thnx in advance for any answers
  4. Hi folks, i'm on the scrounge again! Picked up a club viva mexico recently (scorp 4) and the hopper doesn't work. The motor tries to move, a few sparks then stops, then payunit error 17. I have dismanted the gearbox etc but the motor is quite stiff and has the same problem out of the gearbox It is a 24v 20rpm motor I got a hopper off Chas, but it is 12v so no good. The motor and gearbox unscrews, so only really need that, not the whole thing. Beer tokens await Phil.
  5. Hi All I was wondering if someone could explain what or why you would have two hoppers in a machine. also, I've only ever been 'paid' out of the left hand hopper. yet any money inserted goes in the right hand one. It would be good if I could tell the machine how much was in each somehow so it would pay out of whichever one actually has money in it. The machine is a Billy the Quid epoch board (maygay I think) by 'cool games'. any thoughts appreciated, here is what it looks like. thanks
  6. Hi, I am having an issue with my Indiana Jones £70 jackpot machine. Basically if I enter test mode and dump the hopper balance and it is below £250 (say £100) for example - I put the coins back into the hopper and reinitialise the machine. When I then insert £1 credit; the coin diverts straight to the cash box. However, when I enter the refill menu the machine believes the £1 coin entered the hopper itself and displays REFILL PND x 149. Looking at the hopper levels on the refill menu it states; H=101.00 F=250.00. If i then try and manually refill the coins still divert to the cash box - yet the refill count goes down. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong with the whole hopper dump - I have read the manual back to back and followed it numerous times but still can't shed any light on this issue. After a short time of use the hopper will eventually end up empty yet the cash box below has loads of £1 coins in. I understand i can put them back in manually but I would rather resolve the issue completely. I have had a number of bell fruit machines in the past and the test procedure of dumping the hopper sets the levels correctly and the machine continues to add to the hopper until it reaches the £250.00 float... i just cant understand this one! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Rob
