Great stuff.
Reminds me of my many trips, with mates to the Kent coast from South East London. A couple of adults with Family Railcards and 8 - 12 kids all going for £1 on the card and trips to
Herne Bay, Westgate, Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate.
Margate were our favourite days, because of the amount of arcades and the theme park. Broadstairs our least favourite because I don't think there were any arcades or maybe just one, but Margate was like Blackpool, littered with them.
As ever also, reminds me of the old days at Butlins at Bognor. I remember when it had a large bingo area and the rest of the arcade, was 3/4 full of arcade cabinets, Carnival, Bomb Jack etc.. and a quarter full of MPU3, Sys 80's etc.. and the Cromptons Cake Walk.
5p/10p play was far too rich for me to play though, as we were a one parent family, so I watched more than played and put pennies in the Cake Walks.
