Coppa Lot + uBoat Torpedo - Marian Electronics (Now Heber)
pete_w replied to pete_w's topic in FRUITY RELEASES
at the moment you just load in the rom zip and it recognizes them and creates a basic layout in javascript. I am hoping to create a mini emulator with just the non MFME techs and some basic design tools soon. The roms for these games are all on here, i can attach them to this thread if you like ? - Today

Coppa Lot + uBoat Torpedo - Marian Electronics (Now Heber)
Geddy replied to pete_w's topic in FRUITY RELEASES
Many thanks. Is there anyway to download and separate the roms and layouts in case, for example I'm missing the rom files? -
A Couple of Classic old Marian Electronics games, 1 is a Z80 based Video Machine and the other is a TMS9995 based standard fruity. Thanks to the MPU Mecca Members for the resources. Click to Play Coppa Lot Click to Play U-Boat Torpedo

Hi all I've just got my bell fruit bar 7s back working with help from a few people on here and now need an alphanumeric display if anyone has got a spare and a working coin mech as the one in the cab must have broke off from it's bracket as it was in two bits at the bottom of the cab. Here's a couple of pics of the display and coin mech. If anyone has one or both for sale that would be great. Cheers Brian

I am looking to improve my Summit Coin emulation. I have everything i could find on this site. Ultimate Nudge is working the best of them so far I particularly need information on any Sound Boards used. Play Ultimate Nudge Play Nudge Accumulator Play Supershot (Dutch) Play Push Over (Video Fruit) These are in various states of emulation so if you can help with anything that would be awesome

Your thought that it may be a different piece of code is correct. When it's letting you off a mistake on unlimited nudges, it looks at the reels in order (4, 1, 2, 3) and, if the reel it's currently examining is not displaying a triple bar, it nudges it up until it is. This has the strange result that it nudges a reel up 23 times instead of once down if the triple bar is immediately above the winline when it starts. It also means that it nudges straight through the cherry. The usual GAIN code is not invoked at all. I think I tried to demonstrate this at the end of my recent YT video entitled "Four-reeled extravaganza...". You raise a very important point though. Changing one thing may indeed have unintended consequences elsewhere! ðĪŠ -

Good for you! It's not easy and requires a lot of time and effort. They'd certainly not be far wrong if they calculated that there would be hardly any people with the determination to persist! -
Here is my STOP THE CLOCK modded roms 1: all cash 3 pounds 2: nudge block uncapped to 12 nudges on random stop 3: character and checksum removed (so you can make a spare card like i did) MOD 7B - CHARACTER REMOVED - TO BURN TO EPROMS.zip

Yes i would love to have met someone who programmed them. My son designs games for children online and he has a programmer that makes the software. I am pretty sure i was told 20 years ago that the same guy that designed both SMASH AND GRAB and BIG SHOT moved to the states. There was also easter eggs programmed into alot of these so the programmers would go around the country if they lost their jobs and canned them. I think i heard an ACE prgrammer got caught out. Would have loved to have been about then. I was only 14 when sag came out , i was in the industry but was told i would never learn how to break into these programs. I said "HOLD MY BEER" -

Its sounds good bernard but if you remove the gain code then what would happen on unlimited nudges ðĪ. Id hate to fluff the jackpot and then think it doesn't matter as gain will nudge the bars in but, without the gain obviously this isnt possible unless its a different bit of code for the unlimited nudge gain . -

Excellent stuff and, you're right. ÂĢ50 was a huge amount of money 40 years ago but some would have been unable to resist the temptation! It's great to hear from another who is prepared to attack the codes on these wonderful machines. It always astonishes me that there are so few comments along the lines of 'I wrote the software for these back in the 1980s'. I suppose it was a long time ago, though ð -

Thanks for this, John. Exactly the same point was made to me verbally only a few days ago. The 'exchange for nudges' option ensures that you don't get a decent win and it doesn't offer it at all if the current win is too high. Ignoring the cherries is, I think, possible as the code stops looking for winning symbols once it finds a cherry. Telling it to stop looking appears fairly straightforward but you would then need to avoid the GAIN code which looks for an alternative when it finds a win. Obviously, it won't find one if the whole point is to ignore the lesser win. That is far more difficult. I'll take a look when I get some time. Please don't hold your breath ð -

Thank you. I appreciate it's tough going but I hope it will be useful for someone. These gambling blocks seem to annoy everyone these days! Back in the day, they probably saved a lot of people some money ð -
Does anyone have any other Summit Coin roms ? I Have Ultimate Nudge already, I am got the tech running on my JFruit emulator. If you are interested you can try it at Click to Play Ultimate Nudge

Give Us A Break retro pub SWP quiz machines
triviachris replied to triviachris's topic in INTRODUCTIONS (NEW MEMBERS FORUM)
Hi Road Runner I should have read all of the responses to your original thread before I posted the above. It is clear you are fully aware about MAME and are somewhat of a real expert with regard to the tech for these old retro SWP machines. I am full of admiration for your sterling efforts. I will finish reading all the responses to the threads. Would be interested to know how many editions of GUAB you have working on MAME, in addition to the official MAME software list, which is currently 3rd, 3rd alt, 4th, 6th, 6th alt, 21st and 43rd, I believe.
