  1. Well spotted, so there were at least two of them unless it is the same one, i cant believe the times i have watched the professionals and never noticed that. Not seen anything fot MPU2 although it is basically an MPU1 with extras if you look at the two side by side you can see the MPU1 circuitry in the MPU2. Infact MPU2 looks like a limousine version of MPU1. If i had an MPU2 i could probably extend the existing diagram to include the extras, although the MPU1 ended up the size of A2 so MPU2 would probably end up on a roll of wall paper 🤣

  3. Thanks Nick. I've just watched a vid and the 1st reel, most times, only spins a fraction of a revolution. It does spin longer during some sort of game feature but on my test rig I've got no way of knowing when that might be happening? I really need a reel test feature in the self tests, which there isn't.

  4. Ok, after sorting this out and she is now running as she should ( just the cabinet to sort out which is nearly finished), i thought i would have a go at doing a full schematic for the MPU1 seeing as there does not appear to be one around. I will make my excuses now........ It`s not perfect, it has probably aged my eye sight by trying to backwards engineer a pcb to a schematic ( thank god it is 70s tech and not triple layer). MISTAKES THERE WILL BE so if anyone notices any let me know and i will check and correct them. It is a big file, it ended up on A2 size and i still ran out of space (appologies for having to cram the rom cartridge in). But it is a start and all being well we can crack it from here.
