Welcome to the site. It would be great if you could upload some photo's of the machines you own

Hello kevin. Welcome to the site. It would be fantastic if you could uplopad some photo's of the machines you own. -
with all switches off, and nothing connected to the orange and black 15 way switches connector, all inputs to the 4049 will be high (near 5v) so all outputs of the chip will be 0v. when a dil is on, it is allowing a pulse through to the input of the ic, this you cannot see on a meter, on a oscilloscope you will see it, the output on the chip from that line will be a exact inverted waveform

Thanks for letting me join. Got a couple of fruit machines, a crazy fruits club and a Thunderbirds club.

Good evening. I misunderstood. Sorry. it's sometimes the weird translation Do I need to remove the DIL switches SW1 and SW2 and take the measurement again? or SW1 et SW2 position ON ? Thank you.
-
Is that with no DIL switches set to on?

Hello So, I took measurements on IC22. I'm getting 4.44V at the input and 0.9V at the output. Except on pins 11 and 12. There's 3.8V at the input and 1.5V at the output. Could I have a problem there? Everything is disconnected; no switches; no lamps... To try it out, I also used a logic probe, but I can't interpret the results correctly. I'm not very good at this. Thank you for your help.

There is a listing on Ebay for them, around £8 for 5 but cheaper if you buy more and postage combined, Maybe cheaper else where but not seen any, other than that someone on here may have some. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225459730361?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338590836&toolid=10044&loc_physical_ms=41413&customid=6599bc59b0bf1594cd17d578665b7886

Wow this is turning into a bit of a head scratcher. Can you check all the switch ports are OK? All the inputs to IC22 should be 5v with no switches operated. In which case all the outputs should be low.

Hello I'm back with an update. The oscilloscope arrived, I quickly got to grips with it, and here are the results in photos. IC 10 Pin 3: I'm getting a 514 Hz square wave. IC 18 Pin 12: I'm getting a 100 Hz square wave. And the third photo shows 100 Hz on R83; just as an example. This one isn't a square wave. If you have any other ideas, I'm all ears. In any case, thanks again for your patience.

Hi all.my gemini jack has started paying out 15p instead of 5p.other payouts seem OK any ideas please.thanks in advance.

Yes it can be all consuming if you're not careful. Mind you when you do find the odd dodgy one it makes it all worthwhile.

Had a play with it today and can say that it is worth the price. Took the ics out of Nippy Nudgers MPU1 and it failed the 6810 ram and was happy with both the 6820 pias and the 6800 cpu. I then got carried away testing a pile of old MOS CBM chip pulls i have (6502, 6510 etc). Still happy to have bought the retro chip tester as well, i think they each have their benefits. Think i might go to the pub now before i get too sad and carried away testing things for the hell of it.🤣
