  6. Gentlefolk, Thank you for your interest in the removal of the Royal Exchange gamble block. It's encouraged me to post a similar document detailing how I did the same for Stake Up (and Multiplay) about six months ago, for all those who are interested in the inner workings of these machines. They made no effort to consider what you would win if your double-or-nothing gamble succeeded; they were, quite literally, a random 50-50 win or lose. The programmers were probably happy with this as the gambles were limited to £10 so nothing too calamitous would happen. With the new ROMs, of course, it could discover that it has paid £100! These were MPU4 machines and they used Motorola's 6809 code. Although this was built on the 6800 code which was used for the MPU3 machines, it is an order of magnitude more difficult to fathom. Do please bear this in mind if you look through the attached document; it is very much written for coders! Many thanks again for your interest and comments, Bernard STAKE UP AND MULTIPLAY GAMBLE BLOCK REMOVAL.docx

  15. Nifty Fifty (MPU4) – Solid Silver minimum £1 mod I have a Barcrest Nifty Fifty (checksum-removed) ROM. The Solid Silver feature (triggered by three 50p symbols) used to be able to award 50p. I wanted the minimum award to be £1 while leaving the feature start, lamps, animation, and the rest of the payout logic untouched. Two prize tables were patched: Table at $9C28 Table at $9496 All leading 01 entries in both tables were changed to 02. This forces the lowest possible Solid Silver prize to £1. The file is based on the existing checksum-removed master so no checksum is re-introduced. The working version is: Nifty Fifty - Grok - V4 - Solid Silver Min Pound WhatsApp Video 2026-10-18 at 00.26.25.mp4 NIFTY GROK 4 PROM 1 - 27256.bin NIFTY GROK 4 PROM 2 - 2764.bin
  16. Many thanks for this @pete_w. Bullion Bars was the first clubber I played legally. I won £16 that night, paid out in 50p's Back in those days it was about 32p a pint, makes you think then your are throwing 10ps in it. Is there any chance of payout sounds? Cheers WF.
  17. Ah thanks but no need if they are from here, I'm sure to have them. Many thanks.
