  4. Hello people My name is Paul I live in UK Doncaster retired 8 years I have owned some 25 pinballs in the past including TAF I have owned many fruits and other quiz machines in the past many of which were operated on sites. Two years ago I was asked to fit some reels and lamps to a working 1993 Cops and Robbers Club 4 Reel Fruit machine but when the guy dropped if off he had dropped the machine and the huge unsecured coin tube mechanism had smashed into the scorpion 2 PCB which had no cover on it, I put everything back together sorted the reels etc, I was surprised but it fired up booted great and the sound worked and it played. The next day it didn't fire up the board which had acid damage was dead i was aware it had received a clunk the board was removed and cleaned up and sent to for repair it came back and i reinstalled it turned it on and it booted nicely shoved a few coins in and it worked ok I noticed there was no sound, thinking it might just need turning up in the settings the machine was left for about a year untouched other than being turned on every couple of days and left in attract mode over night, as I had other things to do and as the guy wasn't bothered how long it took to get it back. So it just sat there in a dry workshop being turned on to keep the new battery charged and the game ticking over. So about a month ago I figured I would drag it out and have a look at it and catch up with where I was previously I want to get it working as it appears its now mine and probably move it on. So out it came cleaned her up changed bulbs etc and started to have a nosey it fires up in and plays here's where things turn into hours and into days and weeks of pain there is no sound and now no PCB warranty left, the settings don't turn on the volume and I cant hear anything from the speaker tried a new one had the same result chat GPT said to fit a new amplifier chip on the PCB this was done and made no difference so I sent the PCB back to the repair shop who returned it saying they couldn't find a fault so nothing to repair I can see some new solder on the amplifier chip though. That's not the end of this story I decided I would run some coins through it and play it as I had never done so everything appears to play okay but as soon as it hits a feature on the board the game just locks and if a win is obtained it just freezes same way so no feature no pay outs power off and we are back to play until a win is hit the nudges work ok as they should. Took out the huge coin tubes mechanism and found a pink wire off reconnected it and still the same. In test mode the solenoids will fire no issues, so some game logic isn't right changed the game rom same result, where next I don't know so I joined this site as I don't want to break a fruit machine and sell the parts I want it working and might just keep it after the trauma its caused me. The game I understand is thinking there is a tamper and not paying out to protect its self but what next I don't know I have looked at what i have done and guess without the sound it would be nice to see the old machine working as it should but I really don't know what to do next so any guidance from someone that knows would be amazing ........ Nice one !!

  6. Ok I've gathered all the MPU1 info I can find. I will get that done asap
  7. There are some Roms in the D/L section MPU 1 - The MPU Mecca, but finding a manual or tech docs is not going to be easy. It looks like MPU1 is emulated in MAME though and that there is some C++ on mame-uwp/src/mame/barcrest/mpu1.cpp at master · marcelofrau/mame-uwp · GitHub
  8. i have got the UN sound working, although there doesn't seem to be a lot of it - The other machines we have roms for seem to send their sound output to some kind of other sound board, which i can't find any information on
  9. Not much, have seen at least 2 types (Rev.2 & Rev.3), which I think are interchangeable (some pics attached, including some info from 8035 System manual). Wiring diagram for UN in manual appears to indicate the speaker gets feed from Output card pin1, via 250ohm volume pot and other terminal is connected to Power plug Pos.10 (-9v).
  10. Do we have any roms or docs ? Thanks Paul, do you know anything more about the output card ?
  11. Hi Pete, Ultimate Nudge sound is, I believe, generated from an Output card within the main 8035 System cage (at position 0 - manual lists speaker connection at pin1). There is an option to inhibit coin alarms via Option Switch 4 and attract mode via Option Switch 3, but no option to kill sound completely - only adjustable via a pot inside machine.
  12. This is awesome:) I really hope to see MPU1 in the future at this rate.

  15. at the moment you just load in the rom zip and it recognizes them and creates a basic layout in javascript. I am hoping to create a mini emulator with just the non MFME techs and some basic design tools soon. The roms for these games are all on here, i can attach them to this thread if you like ?
  16. Many thanks. Is there anyway to download and separate the roms and layouts in case, for example I'm missing the rom files?
  17. A Couple of Classic old Marian Electronics games, 1 is a Z80 based Video Machine and the other is a TMS9995 based standard fruity. Thanks to the MPU Mecca Members for the resources. Click to Play Coppa Lot Click to Play U-Boat Torpedo
  18. Hi all I've just got my bell fruit bar 7s back working with help from a few people on here and now need an alphanumeric display if anyone has got a spare and a working coin mech as the one in the cab must have broke off from it's bracket as it was in two bits at the bottom of the cab. Here's a couple of pics of the display and coin mech. If anyone has one or both for sale that would be great. Cheers Brian
  19. Great work Pete, superb to see this tech running!

  21. I am looking to improve my Summit Coin emulation. I have everything i could find on this site. Ultimate Nudge is working the best of them so far I particularly need information on any Sound Boards used. Play Ultimate Nudge Play Nudge Accumulator Play Supershot (Dutch) Play Push Over (Video Fruit) These are in various states of emulation so if you can help with anything that would be awesome
  22. Your thought that it may be a different piece of code is correct. When it's letting you off a mistake on unlimited nudges, it looks at the reels in order (4, 1, 2, 3) and, if the reel it's currently examining is not displaying a triple bar, it nudges it up until it is. This has the strange result that it nudges a reel up 23 times instead of once down if the triple bar is immediately above the winline when it starts. It also means that it nudges straight through the cherry. The usual GAIN code is not invoked at all. I think I tried to demonstrate this at the end of my recent YT video entitled "Four-reeled extravaganza...". You raise a very important point though. Changing one thing may indeed have unintended consequences elsewhere! 🤪
