A lot of these old pots lose their tension and don't make good contact, sometimes the two tension spring bits (how else do you describe it ?) actually snap! How that happens is anyones guess but I've seen it loads of times. Also the carbon track becomes detached from one side or the other. Fun & games with all these old parts.2 points
