I'm always dubious of people who list machines as "fully working" but no pictures of them plugged in. I saw the two adverts, they were trying it on. I get that they want a few quid for it, but cut out the bullshit. So have you collected it yet Chris? Courier collection has been arranged Grah. I just hope I don't need explosives to get into it😂😂😂 I'm hopeful a board swap is all it needs, but knowing my luck.... 1
superbank
Haha some nice sharp drillbits will do the job, hopefully you'll get a nice bundle of old coins ant tokens inside there too. Please keep us updated with pictures and progress, I'm interested to see how this works out.

RobT
Hey Chris Congrats on your bagging this one, I didn't know you were going for it 🙂 as its broken I hope you got it at a decent price as reading the thread people messaging the seller saying its worth 900??? Madness! Jimmy was selling his one for 150 without a board/roms last year which apparently he left outside??!!! The Cashdrop I grabbed was around 400 ish from memory then collection on top from Nuneaton, with the post and board repair bumped it up a bit to just under 500 (for a working machine) even though it's still faulty, so hopefully no more than 200/250 with it being broken. Look forward to seeing how you get on, hopefully do a bunch of video on your channel for us to watch 🙂👍

But I was fairer than that as since its gone from working to non working I showed respect by not reducing my offer. It'll be worth it once it's working I reckon. RobT
Bang on the money Chris as you say working, I did hear people were messaging the seller stupid prices and not to sell it to a collector? Which is ridiculous! So what they should sell it to a dealer, who will then sell it to a collector for more? And why should the seller care who they sell it to?! Very odd why people were saying that. £400 is way way more than fair matey and very generous of you considering they were selling it as working, but I imagine it was a bidding war at a guess sadly, I'll attach two photos of a machine I was watching the other day which in the end got listed 3 times and sold for way more than the original listing, so you know the seller was bombarded with messages so he upped his price. The Cashdrop MMM I've got was sold as working on Ebay (but it was and mainly not) it sold for £500 but the buyer didn't collect and the seller got back in touch, did a counter offer (as I spent my money on Snappy Viper at the time) so got it for around £400 and collection, and the board repairs made it close to 500. 4-500 is a fair price (working) is more than fair, so yep matey your offer for it being broken is very generous! The good thing is with a genuine collector getting it like yourself, after its all up and running you won't be trying to punt it out for £2.5k, it will sit within your collection. You getting this over dealers who are screwing this game all together is a victory for the true enthusiasts & collectors...😎😎

I like to think I'm honest enough to regard myself as fair. I wouldn't like to be treated any less than this myself tbh. One thing the seller Nick was surprised with was learning I was chris217 off youtube😂😂😂 Ha,I've watched some of your videos he said. Thanks for the thumbs up chaps. It means a lot to me🤗 Edited March 21, 2021 by Line Up Chris

Line Up Chris
Dave has kindly sent me a short video clip of my VFS Son of Kong which he picked up for me 2 weeks ago. It's currently at Reelfruits This will be with me very soon. Massive thanks to Dave for arranging everything and of course the hassle and cost of van hire and driving down to Dartford. Unfortunately Ian couldn't pick it up due to work commitments of the owners. Very excited about this one. VID-20210410-WA0002.mp4

Car hire costs, fuel and the hassle of a long day inbetween work. So yeh, massive respect for his offer of help. His Maidstone arcade isn't too far away as well. Dave is a top fella, and a good friend to me. He didn't have to offer, but that's what friends do from time to time. Just ordered some T Cut and varnish to get this cleaned up. Let's just hope it's an easy board swap fix.
Line Up Chris
Ha,notice in the video, this used to be a Cash or Nudge Which so happens to be one of my grail machines. It's not getting converted though as I have a Wild Hold that is very similar,so close enough I'd say 😊 Just love 10p token machines lol

Line Up Chris
Well, she finally arrived this evening. VFS Son of Kong Triple M tech,10p/£3. Took out the boards and sadly it was savagely battery damaged with it being stored for 20 odd years. Luckily my spare board came in handy, however I think that has a fault too, maybe a transistor failure or track. The fault includes reel 1 hold button not working which means I cannot hold or Nudge reel 1. and no lights work on the hold buttons. Too add,#19 lamps won't work and one digit on my credit display doesn't work. I did a video for you and even managed a jackpot too despite the faults lol Love the sounds on this one. The game is very similar to sister machine Wheel of Fortune. Machine came with £15.10 of 10p tokens as well. Hoping it will be a working progress, but if anyone has any advice for me,would be truly appreciated. To end,I have sprayed contact cleaner into all of the plugs which fit onto the board perfectly.
