    Hard drive issue

If de HD is physical damaged / broken: specialized company and could be very expensive If de HD is corrupted but not broken, then this is a reputable recovery option: https://easeus.com/data-recovery-software/
  2. Interesting find, in freaking Italy! 👍
  3. Looks not bad 🙂 https://youtu.be/zYxMviW_2cM
  4. When I need to drill a lock I never use a small drill, but one with a diameter of 8 - 10 mm, so the pins fall out of the casing when drilling through. (easy and quick to drill with a good drill and machine, and no damage to cabinet whatsoever)
  5. I have no experience with a Chico the Bandit, they are rare in the Netherlands too. If one turns up it is most likely broken or half working. I do know for a fact that they work on money and pays it out with a payout slide unit. Sorry I don't have any further information or knowledge about it...
  6. Somebody surely butchered this board. Look at the heatmarkings at the battery throughholes. And they are gone when someone ripped the old battery out.. 😞 Also look at the markings I made only from quickly looking from the picture. more problems with this board. Reckon what you will see when you start looking at it in daylight.. I first recommend having this board repaired by an adress who knows how to repair. Unfortunately in the Netherlands there are a lot of hobbyists now who are experimenting on boards and in their "learning process" actually butchering them... Anyway when professionally repaired I would run and check the looms where the doorswitches are connected.
  7. Nice! One of my favorite cabinets. 😎
  8. JPM System 5 Yamaha Sampled Sound MPU: My machine is from the Dutch export market, but I reckon it is the same:
  9. I got help offered here in the Low Lands from a kind person who has repaired MPU3 before. He did the measuring stated above and found this read out ok. He is going to investigate further. I'll will update this thread whith updates of course as this is interesting. Thanks for thinking so far with me.
  10. A Dutch webshop sells these, 6 watt. https://www.megaelektro.nl/product/6402-t4-tl-buis-6-watt-lengte-inclusief-pinnen-220mm Let me know if these specs work out for you?
  11. Transistor drivers and the triac circuit have been checked and measured.
  12. Just home from a long day, will check out your recommendations above. Though already tried with another promcard and software. Doesn't make a difference.
  13. Thanks for your reply Midibob. Regarding the operated payslides: When starting up without a battery or the first time after you changed the battery, it pulses the payslides a few times as a part of test. After a few pulses it should continue booting and entering playmode. (this counts for the machines for the Dutch market made by the brand Eurocoin)
  14. Hi Guys, Does anybody on here has an idea what the problem could be? This is an MPU3 machine, 1986-ish and for the Dutch market. When starting up without a battery or the first time after you changed the battery, it pulses the payslides a few times as a part of test. After a few pulses it should continue booting and entering playmode. (this counts for the machines for the Dutch market, I presume this is the same for the UK machines, so you should be familiar with this) However after applying power to this machine, the payslides are pulsed, but after the 7th pulse the payslides remains retracted and under power. (you hear the electrical buzz humming). Obviously, the machine doesn't boot further. Here is a vid of it: (at the end of the video the machine is turned off, if it is left on it keeps buzzing with the hanging payslide) Thanks in advance! ISFQ5265.MP4
  15. Received the DW "Fruit Machine Lamp Holder Wire Insertion Tool" and it works a charm! Thanks again Dicky! 😀
