Just a quick up date I had a phone call from the powder coating firm today saying the frames and bits are going to be done today so hopefully I will pick up the bits later on this week ,donor cab has been sorted out now 😁thank you tony πŸ‘ so with a bit of luck I can make a start on putting it all back together over the next few weeks ,watch this space cheers 🍻

  6. Now I've had a look, there isn't really an awful lot to it. A couple of control signals come from pins 36 and 37 of IC14, the LED Mux chip, and go to the ~INC and U/~D pins on both digital pot chips. If the U/~D pin is held low and ~INC is pulsed briefly, the volume will be reduced. If the U/~D pin is held high and ~INC is pulsed briefly, the volume will be increased instead. All the extra resistors are doing is making sure the U/~D pins are being pulled high, presumably because the weak pull-ups in either the pot chips or IC14 are too weak. Intersil X9312.pdf

  8. Many of the late 60s early 70s machines were cash in with just token payout. Bell Fruit were still manufacturing and operating a couple of electro machines with just token payout as late as 1974, I still have one of those games in my collection.
