  1. Due to the damage suffered by the reelbands, I was thinking of trying to print some replacements. As well as the damage, the white background has become quite discoloured in places. I have photographed the symbols and have cleaned up the background, using MS 'paint'. However, it has occurred to me that I might be trying to re-invent the wheel. Does anyone know where I might be able to find scans of Bell Fruit symbols, or even complete reelbands? This is what I've done so far.

  2. Just picked up an old Bell Fruit 'Fruit Stepper'. I've been after an old electro for a while, so this seemed to fit the bill. It hasn't been stored too carefully, so the reel bands and glass are in a bit of a state. I've not had a look at the rest of it yet, but I should hopefully be able to get it going again. It was cheap enough, so if nothing else, it could be a useful source of spares. I'm not familiar with this particular model - it was all SNGs and Fore & Afts in my day. I'm guessing this is slightly older, as it says "wins over 20p paid in tokens". Also, I'm more used to seeing the 50p coin mech on the right. It didn't come with a wiring diagram, so if anyone has a copy, I'd be most grateful. Oh, and if anyone has a SNG going spare...

  3. Hi Guys This one is specially for RobT, who supported this project with Roms, pictures and valuable feedback. 1981 Barcrest Rock On DX - MPU2 You will need the latest version of MFME which is currently v19.4, due to an update Mr Wizard did on MPU2/3 emulation, that improves the performance of this machine and others running the same tech. Thanks goes to RobT for his fantastic support! Launton for his great quality reel fruit scans, and especially for sending me a nice Apple:) Thanks also goes to Hitthesix for setting this project up, Richy1976 for organizing the sound files, and finally Mr Wizard for the amazing MFME and the fantastic updates he has done:)) Here is the layout: ROCK-ON v1.zip Long Live MFME! </Frig>

  4. Not many electro reel bands about especially clean ones, only good point is they are made of card and not back lit so I do what you have done. Here is examples of my Jokers Wild club reel bands. It is very time consuming but the results speak for themselves.

  6. WOW, given this several plays and what a great machine. That feature is fast, I cannot keep up wityh it unless a winning combination is one or two steps from the payline at the beginning of the feature. Is it perhaps that because the real machine had to move physical reels, it was slightly slower? I remember being able to get something most of the time on the real machine, I seem to remember you had to hit the button when the desired fruit was one away from the payline. Brilliant machine, thanks once again to all involved. Richard.

  12. I think they are yes oldskooler, because when you use to get the '2' on the centre reel winline with a matching pair on reels 1 & 3, you used to get the jackpot straightaway. Also when you had the '2' on the centre winline, if you held reel 3 you used to get that win too. I think this rom is a later rom, because there is a 'skill' game when you get the '2' on the centre winline with this romset.
