Eachway Shuffle Has Landed Part III

Recommended Posts

Well this has landed in my lap tonight guys , its not working but is in perfect original condition with all matching serial numbers on the rom card, SRU board , cabinet the lot

Im over the moon to have got another Eachway Shuffle (this is my 3rd since joining the Mecca)  in my games room

Will have to strip her down and completely clean her up ...she's been neglected over the years

Oh and a full tube or JPM tokens ..this is a real time warp machine :-x

Very nice Stef.

I saw this on the van yesterday lol.

Malcolm was delivering my Jolly Joker

at the time.

Hope you get her all up now running.

Eachway Shuffle is such an iconic machine.

Love my one to bits.

Having one is great.

Having 2 is just greedy😂😂😂😂😂

Quick Update Folks

The good news

The PSU is spot on 🙂

The Reel Deck is perfect if a bit yellow

its running OLD money big 10p's and big 50p's sorry folks its gonna go new money 😉

Its had a total of 450,734 plays

and has taken £45,073.40p in its life time

it has paid out 34,256.90p

thats running a percentage of approx 76% thats pretty damned good

i have the technology to re-build it 🙂

i popped my all my working boards in it and played about 30 games and managed to nudge in a £2 Melons Jackpot and it pays out perfectly 🙂

2 full days at this now and its all up and running :-)

Ive had to pop my spare working boards in to get this far so will probably need to ship my non workers away for repair.

Faulty SRU controller , mini logic and display all need looking at

Everything bar the cable loom has been stripped out and cleaned, top and bottom glasses had to be cleaned and have the masks re-attached so they are now great

the usual buttons, lamps, and pay slides out for a clean all spot on now

I have changed the old 10p to new 10p and appears to be accepting, playing and paying ok only niggle is that some 10p's fly through the mech and dont register a credit 😞  could this be down to the new 10p's not moving the credit wire far enough to "click" is there an adjustment i could make?

a few pics of the works 😉

Points of frustration that only an owner of an SRU machine will know .....  1 being easy :-)   10 being an utter bastard !

Changing fuses anywhere on the machine                                                        1 out of 10

Changing 12v Bayonet bulbs on the lamp masks                                             2 out of 10

Changing floro tubes background lighting x 2                                                   3 out of 10

Changing 12v wedge bulbs on the start--Nudge up--Hold x 3 buttons          4 out of 10

Re-fitting lamp masks to glasses                                                                         6 out of 10

Removing and re-fitting the reel glass  (scare factor)                                      7 out of 10

Refitting the damned display board (stretching beyond belief in a confined space)   8 out of 10   grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Changing reel phase/ lamp transistors on an SRU controller   (i need a magnifying glass  and soldering like a ninja)     9 out of 10

The worst job by far (for me) refitting the silver coin bevel , illuminated red coin insert, rusty reject spring & interlocking shroud on my OWN  ..I was almost in tears what an utter BASTARD of a job ...do not ever attempt this on your own with the reel glass still in place!! lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooo you have been warned 😉   10 out of 10

Cheers

Stef

Awesome steffy boy and such a wicked true classic youve bagged there .jist shows they are out there still .Great clean up job .oh the speaker is non original but really nice to get all the original boards still in it .she looks in really great condition too .oh and the coin bevels are a pain but what you need to do in future is duck tape the front bevel parts to the metal frame as they will not go anywhere when un screwing or refitting them .ive lost a few springs out of em in the past !

it was just serious neglect Simon, all the masks were hanging off , there was no tube lighting , The pay slides were all loose with bolts missing , it was filthy i reckon at some point the previous owner may have tried to swap items whilst it was still plugged in :-/

its just lovely though now its been refurbished the reels really are spot on and i love the yellowing on the glass and reels its just shouts out original
