I've spent the last few days compiling a list as best as I can of all the 80s fruit machines I could find.   Without specific release dates, to try to keep to 80s, I've basically excluded anyt

Just flyer for Cash Climber and an advert for Instant Replay which was 82?

A few pictures collected but lucky to have a time machine in the form of an extensive number of Coin Slots. A couple from 60s and 70s but main collection from mid 1979 through to 1994 with a few mixed later copies.

I have scanned a number few pages as required but would take some time to sort out all the relevant machine pages, The collection of papers show many new machine and used sales adverts from both major manufactures and smaller companies over those years.

Those were the best years @BF74, my childhood mixed with my exploitive years, you always bring back the memories with those retro black and white snippets. 99% of the time you always produce the goods, that is what I love most about here and with DIF too on the main emulation side (although there are some pretty fine layouts here which I've nicked😉) it is, in a nutshell, the whole package. Hope you don't mind and will ask permission if I can nick some of your papers and snippets within your profile, blow them up and put them on my walls in frames and no I won't do it anyway as respect others wishes.

One of the biggest problems us old crusty folk have is the memory.  I can recall machines from decades ago.  The artwork, the manufacturer, the arcade I first saw it, wins, losses etc.  The ACTUAL name of the machine...errrrrmmm..it was a MPU3 snake based machine with lots of squares..that kind of detail isn't what you need.

Better than nothing I suppose.

Most of my fading memory would be focused on machines, I had good times on.  Namely JPM's in the early 80's, then Crests, back to JPM's in the 90's and Crests again until 2004.  My memory starts on late EM machines with 50p jackpots, way upto 25 quid Maygays and JPM's.

I'm sure there's a lot of folks who remember the classics, but not so much the test machines.  And that can be tricky.  As they were sited in random places, and recalling them isn't easy

Example Maygay EPOCH machines such as Monte Carlo or Bust, or Maximum Overdrive (4 reel AWP) both 15 quid.

BGT Millenium Bug.  Those I can recall, as I played them a lot

Then there was a Maygay EPOCH that had shields, 5 line win, 10 quid jackpot.  It was a medieval theme.  Seen it at Thomas amusements in Leicester

Same place had an ACE machine (same cabinet as Pot of Gold) Called "5th Dimension"  Black reels, with hidden fruits, that glowed.  Quite unique.  Also had a Barcode feature

Random stuff like this, still floats around my head

This was a list I found on my computer.  It was in a text file dated April 2008 but no idea now where I got it from and probbaly copied the info into the text file.  Can't seem to find it online now but would have found it somewhere - it's defnitely not something I created myself!  Hence I was hoping that someone here might recognise where I would have got it from and hoping that other similar lists from other manufacturers would also be in the same place, if we could find it again!!

Cool find, so that answers where I must have got the list from and why there's only one for Barcrest, not other manufacturers.

Although actually my list went up to 89....so i wonder if it was posted elsewhere and updated as the format is also different.  Mine is dated 25 April whereas this post is 8 May so I must have got mine from before Captain Haddock's post but maybe Barcrest released info to others at around same time?

I've spent the last few days compiling a list as best as I can of all the 80s fruit machines I could find.

Without specific release dates, to try to keep to 80s, I've basically excluded anything with a jackpot less than £1 and more than £4. May of course spill over from late 70s and either miss some from late 80s or have some from early 90s.

I used the Barcrest list I had earlier as the starting point (hence only dates on this one) and then went through this and a couple of other fruit forums for pictures and flyers and then looked at games I have seen emulated (from a disc I bought off ebay years ago).

I've listed:

Name, year, manufacturer, machine converted from (if a conversion), price of play, jackpot, if I saw a flyer for the game on line, whether I have the emulation

By no means is the list complete nor might it be 100& accurate.  If I didn't know for sure I tended to leave blank rather than guess.

I hope this might be of use to some people and maybe if anyone is inclined, it could be added to and updated by those much more knowledgeable than me - I only have my experiences from BITD to go on and what I could find online without spending forever.

I would be inetersted to know if any of the games I've noted as not emulated are actually available (most keen on the Barcrest ones and mpu3 conversions, with my holy grail being Fruit Banker (VFS, 84))
