Hi

New member here - looking to buy a line up fruit machine - either the classic MPU3 or the newer MPU5 which is similar but certainly not the MPU4 which is completely different!

I'm just a mid 50's guy looking for my first machine and revisit my misspent youth where i spent ALL my money!

Thank you

Hi Dave

Welcome to the forum.

I have to agree with Andrew

The mpu3 version is far superior than any version.

The mpu5 is ok as it is pretty close to the mpu3 but with

a fiver jackpot, but its a bit of a chase to get it.

Tbh,most would prefer the mpu3s because they pay out in

10p and 10p tokens.which makes up part of the classic sounds.

Even the mpu5 versions seem to fetch big sums though.

The mpu4 is not very good if I'm honest.

Although some people do like them.

I have an mpu3 version which I love to bits.

Would love to find some unchipped original ROMS

that enabled you to work the £2 feature held trick..

Mpu3 versions will fetch big money.

The last few I have seen on ebay have  gone from

£950-£1,701.

You're in the right place to ask though as a few on here

have or atleast had a Line Up.

If you stick around long enough, one will come to you

as there still quite a few out there.

The problem though is everyone knows what they are worth!

Good luck on your search though.

Come round and play mine for free if you want lol.

Having both Line Up and Adders

My favourite is Line Up.

Adders can be very tight at times but

it has it's own surprises with Nudge set ups

and not always stopping one square before the £2.

Adders without GAIN has the edge but I love

them both tbh.

There were 6 small cab mpu3s.

What would be your top 3?

Mine are

3.Adders & Ladders

2.Super Exchanges Unlimited

1. Super Line Up.

From someone who prefers that squeaky piece of firewood Rat Race to Razzle Dazzle.

100% with you on that one Gaz.

Although I am guilty myself of having conversions.

BWB Superwin ex Options Unlimited

and

VFS Wheel of Fortune ex Instant Replay.

Wheel of Fortune I think is a great game

and as I also have the original machine too

I can forgive the conversion on this occasion😄😄😄

All on original roms for the tricks available on those versions.
