PCL 501-43 2 Procon board help!! :-/

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Hope you're all ok and escaping the friggin virus! 😷

I need your help, is anyone any good with Procon PCL borads, or even has the circuit diagram for one of these?  I bought a few machines a few weeks back and within them was an old Maygay machine around 1987 ish.  Its has been left out in a garage for quite sometime by the looks of the inside, so just needs a bit of love getting it back up and running again.

I've attached a few pics of the board, and you've guessed it the batteries arse has exploded over it!  I've cleaned up the board as much as I can, I'm having trouble with what resistors are needed as they are burned out!  Also on the pic (T10) has melted I imagine also from the battery acid.  I'm sure other chips may or have gone, but starting with the basics of what I can see.  If I cant get it working it will need to be sent to someone who's knows these boards :)

As always any help is really appreciated :) 👍

Cheers Andrew, I can only do so much as I'm not that technical (yet) so will probably need someone who knows this type of board to look at it properly.

Thanks again 👍

Man alive look at that!!!!  Right it would be someone who knows what to look for then on my one, not sure how to test which are good/bad!

I've just looked at the power supply and that looks ok, fitted a filter on the power supply socket, but as for testing the board to find the faults, that's a bit above me lol :) From my pics there looks to be a toasty chip as its blackened the board. But yeah a bit stuck :)

What are you saying this tech is awful???  No no no no no no no no it's the best it really is.

No its rubbish! 😂 it really is.  I didnt bend any of the 76200 metal prongs whilst removing it from the machine!  It looks a good machine, so I really would like to get the board up and running somehow :)

If you dont get that blue battery off that board, and get all the corrosion cleaned up , all the carbon tracing removed, and the traces repaired and reinforced itll just go boom again.
