  1. Good evening 🙂 With another lockdown weekend approaching, what better way to spend it than by banging a few quid through a nice 2p PCP game from the late 80s? There's a slight backstory to this layout. There was a resources group-buy over 13 years back for this machine kindly organised by @VINNY130172 which myself and a few good people chipped in for. Vinny fixed it back up so it was working but unfortunately due to storage issues he had to move the machine on, so it ended up with me. It stayed in my garage getting played very infrequently for years and it was a shame having it gathering dust. Every time I went into the garage it was sat there looking at me and the guilt became a bit too much. Luckily there was @stevelancett on the forum who I knew would look after it, so he came down one day to pick it up, and now it's in a nice warm container surrounded by friends 😃 So this DX layout has been in the pipeline for 13 years or so and for me it's been a labour of love over the last few months during lockdown to do one of my favourite games justice. I hope you all enjoy it - and please, gamble responsibly 😉 Thanks to all those who helped chip in for the group buy all those years ago, and especially thanks to the late Wizard for making this layout and so much more possible 🙂 Shortcuts in layout notes - use MFME 20.1 - looks best in portrait 👍 Cheers! 2. Yes, I know I haven't finished with Labyrinth Yes, I know I normally buy club machines But - coming tomorrow - apologies for the poor "mobile phone" camera Very dodgy decals! artwork looks to be peeling, but hey...... Wonder if it can go back to £4.80 jackpot? Edit: Just found the £4.80 roms on the repro IF it only uses one rom chip
  3. As seen on my wanted post, one of PCP's finest imo. She does work but has a few issues, if anyone has solved similar problems I would appreciate an idea of where to start to try to fix. A) 2p mech won't accept any? won't accept 50p's ( I guess it probly takes the old ones, not a big issue if can't fix without swaping the whole mech) C) Credit display shows the wrong numbers, I.e. 2 with no credit, 3 with 1 credit, 35 with 10 credits. D) Yes repeat light is permenantly lit. Does a service manual exist that could help? Cheers,
  4. Well, I won it for just shy of 8 quid, i've prized open the back and found £7.20 in change - so that is a good start I really only bought it for the cab as I have a £75 JP club climber that I bought after it been broken into, so cab wrecked, but glass good. However, for the time being, I may give this a whirl It came with the original PCP manual which details the conversion kit and how to implement it from different machines. There is a conversion from club double to £150 version, but unfortunately that isn't the one I have as only 1 pound coin tube and it is different sofware. This one is £60/5p or £100/10p. Unusually, the 10p's go via the S10 mech The rom cart says solid silver, so there you go, that's what it was in a previous life! I found the manual quite fascinating. I'll scan and upload at some point. As you can see from the pics, it is in a pretty bad way, artwork peeling, masks off, but i'm going to try to repair, just to play a machine i've never seen The wiring loom looks a little bodged, there is what looks like an MPU3 connector at the top! (Pic 5) Many bulb holders and a couple of MPU connectors not even used. Note, the PCP button is not used at all I can see the PSU caps look blown. First job will be to look at the board. Phil.
