    Two Step

I had a dig around last night, took out the control board, and used Ron’s diagrams to try and make this machine play better! Well with the easy to follow instructions and photos I put several extra wires in, and wow what a difference that has made! We have nudges and holds going on πŸ˜€ The machine now plays so much better! Thanks for the help Ron another one working properly πŸ‘πŸ‘

Yes I absolutely agree Ron, there needs to be holds and nudges more frequently, I’m looking forward to getting it working properly now! And hopefully see the super start work! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You are a genius

Hi Ron, That is amazing help, I have read it three times, and it is starting to make sense! The timer that you have showed, would that improve the game play, and are you saying to have more studs linked than you have pictured? But your input is greatly appreciated because without it I wouldn’t have a clue! I’m looking forward to getting this one working properly again Cheers Mike
  4. I picked up this Barry Noble Two Step a couple of years back. Haven't really looked at it until now. What i have found so far is that it plays and pays out with no issues, the 50p lock out solenoid isn't operating, the super start button never lights up or work. And finally it doesn't hold very often! Apart from that it is all working! I have a few a few questions I would like to ask please? Probably in Ron's field of expertise. The 50p solenoid not working, is it just a case of reconnecting the cut wires that have been soldered together? I have also added a pict

  6. What a machine Chris, I love it! I have all the bits to make one of these, all except the top glass and the main part, the cabinet! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You never know maybe one day! Great vid though πŸ‘πŸ‘

    Mpu3 burnt plug

Evening Bob, These are the ones you pointed me to before, from rs, might be easier to get hold of! And I have just looked and they are discontinued, brilliant.

    Mpu3 burnt plug

Here you go Joe, as promised! Although it took me a day longer πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Brown wire passes through the board and solders to an earth pad on the rear! I hope this helps.
  9. I am no expert Bob, but I have tried and tried to find these, with no joy! Hopefully someone will come up with a link!

    Mpu3 burnt plug

I have some of the pins Nick, just the tool to crimp them is the issue, if Bob could come up with what tool it, that would be amazing, as I have a psu I need to re pin, as the wires actually burned off! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    Mpu3 burnt plug

Evening Joe, yes you cur the two wires white and blue and take an Earth feed from the board, and join them together. This works and stops the problem with the burning, I have a couple of machines running this way, and they are solid, no resetting and shorting as I was experiencing before! The ideal would be to have new connectors for the plug, but it is hassle! I can photo one of the connections that have been added to one of my boards if that helps? Cheers Mike
