  1. I am still working on it but maybe not in the ways you'd expect. In terms of emulation Impact is fully supported, MPU4 is ready for integration once Epoch is finished. Epoch has has the H8 core almost completely rewritten from the iteration that got released, increasing accuracy and speed. How the original actually ran at all I am surprised, it was so broken. There is a couple of issues left to resolve but I've not really been concentrating on the emulation as much as the visual aspects. There are various visual aspects I have been working on. The lamping now generates a brightn
  2. I remember getting MPU4 to run the NEC chip being a right PITA to get right too. On Impact its easy to get running, on MPU4 it seemed quite timing specific with regards to the busy line.
  3. There is somewhere, I found it ages ago. If memory serves the 7759 is known by another name (or a clone of it is) and the manual for that which includes the adpcm algorithm is available. If I can find it I'll post it. IIRC it was used on SEGA hardware for something.
  4. I have used the inline version of this on several machines. I'm not sure if it improved anything but it certainly did no harm.
  5. Without wishing to seem like a grumpy old man, the layout looks incredible, but it needs the colour balance of the lighting shifting towards the red end of the spectrum. Looking at the yellow question marks they go subtly green in the preview bmp. The light coming from incandescent lamps is predominantly yellow, even at full brightness they will be a beige / cream colour and JPM under drive the lamps at around 9 volts rms. I'm happy to get glass scans for you at some point, I need to find the keys for my JPM's, I've put them in a safe place. I may have found a scanning company that can ge
  6. Just as soon as I find my keys for it, yes.
  7. I've got the whole machine here if you need anything.

    MPU3 error 6

I'd bung the ROMs in the emulator and see what the software looks for to give that error. Are there any jumpers or links on the board? Is it maybe a dry solder joint losing a bit somewhere?

    MPU3 error 6

    What size are the ROMs?
  10. Will you be lighting the reflections too?
  11. 4k layouts, ****ing awesome.
  12. There's a video here. It's an LCD matrix and surprisingly high resolution for its time. Skip to 3:15 it shows a jackpot with a picture on the matrix. It's not easy to tell but if you can work out the size of the matrix finding the data probably won't be too hard.
  13. Linked games can be done, probably via the TCP/IP connection as Party Time, but will need very regular updates from machine to machine to keep things in time or the game loses the connection to the top box.
  14. Playing The Big Breakfast (Scorp 4 not the scorp 2 one). The main feature tune finishes really early and there's a dead space before it repeats the sample. Any idea if this is fixable?
