  1. I saw someone trying to track down some ROMs the other week over on Desert Island Fruits, so I've mirrored @Geddy's big fruit machine ROM collection to the Internet Archive. I can periodically upload a fresh copy to overwrite the old one... since we've got the publicly accessible Community Drive (see Dif for more info on this project), this seemed like a good companion resource Link is here: https://tinyurl.com/3jhzbueb

  2. Graham, make sure when they ask for pins they don't sell them the male crimps instead! I reckon the pins don't actually exist as a separate part as I've never found a part number for them. So I'm thinking they come as a whole unit in the housing but I've never found a part number for that either??

  3. I put some in my basket to see, they reckon that they will have more in stock soon. The lad in Austria is happy to have them delivered to him, he can then bring him back over in his luggage. I'll also get him to ask if they have, or can get, any suitable pins/receptacles for these. If they get more in then we can all order up what we need (within reason).

  4. I did already add the link in my forum signature over on Dif: Not exactly one of my projects since it's simply a one-off upload of @Geddy's incredible work, but it's such a valuable Community Resource I felt it warranted a place among the other project links! I did also post a new thread about it in the Dif Resources section: https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/topic/16850-fruit-machine-rom-archive/ I just looked it up, and there's no way to post a raw URL link in a google drive, you can only post links to other google drives. So no way to create a direct link right now. I've added a text doc, with just a link to the Community Drive so far... I can add more links, open to suggestions

  5. Do we have a drawing of the pins (or can we create one)? If we decide on size and material I know companies with suitable CNC capabilities and can get a price from them.

  9. That is possible, Digikey have them in stock https://www.digikey.co.uk/en/products/detail/te-connectivity-amp-connectors/61062-3/21530399 , I would always be a bit concerned that the possible heat generated would affect the crimps after a while especially if they weren't crimped with a proper AMP tool which most folks wouldn't have? I've never seen a drawing of one as they don't appear in the Combo-line info as they originally weren't PCB mounted. It's possible this could have been a special for Barcrest, I do hope not! Still, pins are available to measure from existing connectors if someone has the skills to produce a drawing. Not sure what they might be made of though?

  10. I've got a couple of colleagues who work in Austria so that's not a problem. I'll speak to them next week and we can get something organised.
