  2. Yep, it's the opto which is nearly always the most difficult bit to find. Still these ones look almost new condition wise so they will be handy for spares. It's the same for the TIL143's. Places do sell them but they are usually listed as equivalents and they aren't! The transistor (receiver) is the opposite way to the 143's which isn't a problem on the ones that just have the sensor as you can swap the wires around. On the ones with the added transistor, they won't work!

  4. This appears to be the machine that my Louth Automatics 'Odds On' is based on. Sounds like it's been hacked about for 'new' 10p. Stockport is in my usual collection range, but I'd have to get Dominic Cummings to pick it up for me.

  6. The two semiconductors. The plastic case comes apart and the two devices slide in. One is an IR emitter diode and the other a IR light sensitive transistor, both have two legs which in the transistors case you can imagine the light source is the base of the transistor. Hope that makes sense.

  7. Hi guys its been a while since i have posted over here at MPU mecca .... its been a funny old year ... with C19 and loss of Wizard, some serious bad shit this year just to cap it off for me, i ended up testing positive 3 weeks ago, although im now on a full recovery it was not enjoyable, But on a positive side im hoping this will prevent me getting it again if my antibodies can break through the red wine in my bloodstream So firstly i would like to wish everyone a happy new year ( its got to be better than the last pile of poo ) anyway the reason for posting here was i was over at another forum that deals with vintage mechanical slot machines and some one posted a link to the George Wilson Arcade photo collection, i have never seen this before and found it fantastic ... so thought i would share it with you guys, if you have already seen it great, if you have not ... then you will love it here is a taster photo here is the Link to the collection https://www.seasphotography.org.uk/georgewilson Enjoy ... all the best ...
