  1. Hi guys its been a while since i have posted over here at MPU mecca .... its been a funny old year ... with C19 and loss of Wizard, some serious bad shit this year just to cap it off for me, i ended up testing positive 3 weeks ago, although im now on a full recovery it was not enjoyable, But on a positive side im hoping this will prevent me getting it again if my antibodies can break through the red wine in my bloodstream So firstly i would like to wish everyone a happy new year ( its got to be better than the last pile of poo ) anyway the reason for posting here was i was over at another forum that deals with vintage mechanical slot machines and some one posted a link to the George Wilson Arcade photo collection, i have never seen this before and found it fantastic ... so thought i would share it with you guys, if you have already seen it great, if you have not ... then you will love it here is a taster photo here is the Link to the collection https://www.seasphotography.org.uk/georgewilson Enjoy ... all the best ... 5. try asking on pennymachines.co.uk , i remember someone i knew had a old alfred cromptons pusher and although cromptons is still running its a different company and they have ditched all the old info etc as they do . but you might be able to get hold of a old techy who remembers such a machine .. also you could try les codd who works at dingles heritage fairground i am sure there is someone to advise you. doesnt look a complicated machine so once explained youll be tickerty boo (you could even ask the fella you brought it off for some pointers)

  6. Thanks to rich I’ve got hold of this..... I’ve cleaned it all out got it working as far as bulbs and dispensing a ball shaped sweet. It has a solenoid type thing at the bottom that is supposed to pop up and hit a metal plate when firing the stick but it’s only done it twice and won’t again. ive manually manipulated switches under it to no avail and checked cables in choc block but nothing. None of it worked when it arrived. New bulbs and taking relay in and out for the rest going? Maybe bad? any help appreciated as it’s a cool childhood memory that’s lasted a fair few years!

  14. 100% agree with this. Have put all mine on castors for ease of movement. Worth considering this because dragging machines along the floor will eventually wear down the underneath and you'll end up with a rocking machine everything you press the buttons. Also if they are on a bare floor, the bottoms will eventually turn to wheatabix with mopping around it when cleaning the floor.

  15. Yeah know what you mean as im not a fan of those castors as they don't add to the machines appearance but needs must when moving and maintenance. The 50mm will usually hold the weight of the machine ok .

  16. Wayne they are a bit small for fruit machines .you ideally need 50mm castors .a little pricey from amazon .

  19. Here’s all the videos. After I’d got the power back on in the garage..... don’t know what stuffed it up but it’s been back on ok since :) until summer that’s as much as I’m going to do to it. Blooming freezing. Just found it needs the old size 50p too. Best get hold of some as only have 5 in test pilot. IMG_3603.MOV IMG_3609.MOV IMG_3604.MOV

  20. Don't you just love sour grapes and jealousy... How childish and ridiculous that a grown man can get upset about not getting his hands on a fruit machine that was made avaliable to the whole of the Internet on various platforms Maybe a more enjoyable life to have would be not to expect everything of a certain tech or manufacturer should come to you and only you. As your somehow entitled to it? Over everyone else End of the day these are the facts. A machine was advertised. A machine was brought and now is in the hands of a mpu mecca member. I see nothing wrong with that story I am off for a walk now as I can't afford a car.......... Ha ha happy days... Life's too short
