  1. Well it’s been a few days since my last post as I have not been able to do anything due to other commitments. I have managed to solve my front door mistake by making a little bracket. It has worked out well. I do need to fined some black iron on strip to finish all off. I only need to make the back door for the cab part to be completed.

  2. This sequences of flashes seems to crop up a lot now these are getting old,. it appears no one really knows what's wrong, so here is the guide. I have already done this guide for those that want to point this out to me, but it seems no one can actually find it now, so here it is again... 12 green 2 red flashes of status light This means the battery on the MPU5 motherboard is flat! the ONLY cure is replacement of the battery If you have a alpha connected to the main MPU5 you see this check the battery on the main MPU5 with a meter, it will most likely read flat! it SHOULD read over 3v order the correct battery, one source for the battery is here battery I don't recommend flywiring it, there is absolutely no point to do that at all Next BEFORE desoldering the battery remove the blue jumper to isolate the battery Carefully desolder and change the battery, DON'T pull it from the motherboard! the more damage you do the more skills will be needed to fix what you have done!!! solder in the new battery and check it reads over 3volts If all is good, refit the blue jumper! assemble the board in the plastic case and refit the program card. If your lucky turning it on with the game card will clear and reset the ram, if your unlucky you might need a ram clear cart These can be made easily if you have a spare program cart, a eprom programmer and the files for P1 and P2 roms which are easily available from the internet and this site. IF YOU GET THIS ERROR IN THE PICTURE BELOW This is a fault with the program card, either the battery, pcb or PIC chip on the program card, This can sometimes be solved by leaving the machine ON for hours to recharge the program card battery, if that does not work then work will be required on the program card. NOTE, IF YOU BREAK ANYTHING BY FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS THEN I AM NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOUCAUSE! THIS IS JUST A GUIDE AND YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

  8. Thanks for the roms, it's just the last number of the version you need, so if it's 2.0, 0 will do or what ever the end number is. That way you wont have any chr problems.

  9. Finally got this resolved and paying from both hoppers. Even though the existing mpu runs single azkoyen hopper in another machine it won't run the duel set up... and errors. I'll look at it at some point it's probably shorted out by the tin foil bodge job. Now the machine is running I've started the cab renovation.

  13. Work were disposing of some old LED emergency lights. I salvaged the LED strips and put them to good use! The two 3D printed rings allow the strip to be snapped into the existing tube clips. Power is taken from a spare 12v output on Con4 and the small in-line PCB regulates the 12v down to 3.3v. Old fluorescent tube still fitted: LED strip fitted:
