Video of Large Private Collection of Fruit Machines (late 1970's and early 1980's)

Recommended Posts

I have also got about 80 of the old original video games for those of you that are interested(1942 was my FAV!).

Now youre just teasing me :D

1942 was a classic shoot em, didnt like 1943 as much tho. Is it a multigame PCB in one cab?

Good thinking Alex!

Come down A52 and pick me up @ J25 M1, then we will head off down the A50 (Toyota) / A38 for some fun and pornography :D

Yep that works very well in theory mate, as I can't justify the journey just for myself so that would be ideal.

Will have to confirm my availability for that day, and let you know asap.

You are spot on Vinny 1942 was fantastic. I used to play it after school, a shop near me had a couple of videos in they had 1942 which always de stresses when you blow up a full ring of planes. I love zapping the giant ones that throw bullets/bombs everywhere. It always gets hard when you get to the aircraft carrier. This shop used to have Karate Champ aswell. I loved that game.

Tell you what, it's gonna cost me the best part of £15 on train anyway and 2.5 hrs via the worst train station I have ever had the misfortune to be stuck at, New Street Station, so that is better off in your tank, and will save my sanity :D

Works for me!

And it looks like I do have the 15th free, so I will keep it free.

There are 5 of us so far - My house is in Sutton Coldfield, just outside Birmingham.Nearest train station is Four Oaks(5 mins walk from house).

Must be an enormous house ! Just curious, but how much electric does all that burn up??

I have 17 off one 13 amp socket and that's about it really. It has tripped the RCD. I power them up in order so as not to trip the mains protector.

So I do 10, 6 and then the last one, that seems to be OK. I was working on the basis of 180 watts per machine 17 x 180 = 3060 watts.

3060 watts @ 240VAC = 12.75 amps which is just under the maximum load for the socket.

That's if my assumption of 180 watts per machine is correct? :hmm:

Just a thought Paul, but could you maybe list on here who's going as we might be able to share lifts all the way or part way etc. We might also be able to bring parts with us to give/swap with other members. I'm planning on bringing up a SYS80 PSU for Stu to save postage and thought it might work for others too as we're often swapping parts between ourselves:)

^Excellent idea Vin.

Sharing transport costs, and also sort any parts sales / swops at the same time.

Also means a few of us FME guys get to meet and that, bit like a convention lol

I'd do something like this at mine if I could, but although I have an 18 x 13 mainroom, rest of the place is tiny, so get a dozen bodies here, be a tight squeeze :D

Just for the record, got a number of Maygay / M1 series spares here (Mostly reels, but NO MAINBOARDS!), and I think a scorp4 Smiley cab reel, along with a C435 mech (Need to check), all of which is john_Disco's stuff, and I think he has a few more bits back at his I can also bring up.

Doubt John will be coming up as he's had the birth of his baby girl today, but I will be sure to ask him, and see if it would be possible.
