Replaced flat battery

Recommended Posts

Hi

I replaced the flat battery on the motherboard on my rainbow riches b3 £500 machine but still when booted up the 2 screens still say no image. All else seems to work ok, fans lights abs mpu5. Is it right that the hard drive would have lost its settings?  If so what's next? Tia Tony

Well if you are not sure on computers I suggest you leave the machine alone as they are very very easy to mess up without knowledge

Well a simple yes or no to my question would have helped instead you decided to have a pop at me for asking for help too many times. Very polite of you. Like I said if I'm doing something wrong and upset you I'm sorry.

Oh yes,if you took longer than 60 secs to fit new battery some settings may be lost, and it will need a keyboard to reset things.Without a manual you will have no chance

Hi

Cheers for that. I was saying sorry for posting it a few times in different places. I am new to forums and was just trying to get help. Like I said I'm sorry if I offeneed anyone.

I am not offended, just surprised so that someone that has just joined, is just so demanding in at least 3 threads dissing people because there not helping, but ask the question, what have YOU done for this forum yet to think you can just demand demand demand? no one has to help anyone if they don't want to, as warlord says politeness goes a long way!

anyways as you don't want my help now that's fine by me, this is just some of the achievements I have done with e-rio cabs, but you won't understand the significance of it i bet!

Sorry Andrew. I didn't mean to come across as demanding it was a genuine mistake i posted asking for help in three places as I am new to forums and I was saying sorry for doing so. I would like to gain knowledge and then would be able to offer others advice and contribute to the forum. I must congratulate you on your work though. It must have taken some work to get those games on an e-rio in real play mode. Well done

Cheer Tony

Hi

No not yet tried lots of thing's. The battery on the pc was flat and had been for some time. As far as I can tell the pc has lost its settings so needs a keyboard and monitor pluged in and settings restored. But as I said earlier I'm not too computer savvy (old git).  It sounds like it boots up but both screens show a no signal error. I have a number for a machine guy near me so will probably let him sort it or sell it as is.

Cheers bud

I had a pusher called galaxy 21,pc based with a 26 inch screen. The pc was fixed but had to have bios settings as such so it booted and loaded game automatically.Never found anyone to do it so got rid.You could try e service. But these things dont work like  a home pc,and finding someone who can do the settings may be difficult.good luck

Its because pc based machines are expensive and hard to fix that i now avoid them like the plague.

Beginning to agree with you. Will probably ebay it and get something else. Would be an easy fix for someone with a bit more knowledge.

Cheers

Problem is by the time you have fixed it you will have spent more than its worth.or after lots of work it still not run

But if it is a hobby then time and it’s worth is not a problem! Trouble is for most it is not a hobby but dealers that are out to make money on there machines! And they come on here to get free advice to stick them on eBay obviously for more money than putting it on as non working!!!

That’s why I wait to see how the new members intent actually is! Normally once machine is fixed they never appear or log in again!
