More Money 5p (VFS conversion on MPU3)

Recommended Posts

Oh. My. Word!

I remember this. I've said this many times before, but I would have never remembered this from the name alone, until I saw the pictures.

If anyone wants a DX done of this, then I'm your man.

FME never ceases to amaze me - even after all this time.

Fantastic resources mate. :)

EDIT: Can you get a hi-res picture of the full machine, head-on mate? You know what I mean, like a flyer photograph. I want to know which cab it uses.

I can do that. :) Give me a few days though.

I can tell you that it used Options/Chances Unlimited as a base.

Nice to see this again Mike, thanks for uploading them. I do remember it now, as the photo's jogged the old grey matter!

Good luck with the ROM's, VFS machines tend to be very problematic within the emu, the only VFS set I've managed to get running fully was Noughts N Crosses, a conversion based on a Nudges Unlim. There's another couple of ROM's by VFS on mpu3 but they are still non-runners, but the only thing in the favour for 'More Money' is that it's a later conversion then the others, hence might work fine in the emu. Good luck! Be nice to see this one again!

I was planning on doing a 1600, like normal. But, having just loaded the roms in MFME, it looks like it is another non-runner. :(

There seems to be a lamp problem with it unfortunately. They stay on all the time, so you can't tell what does what.

Massive shame, because this is one I wouldn't have minded seeing myself.

Here's the layout to show you what I mean. There maybe a way of sorting it out, but I doubt it.

But, looking on the brightside, Moneytrapper works. :)

Just tried em in 1.1 seem to not run in that either but interestingly in the alpha they show as 2p £1.50 not 5p I take it these were switchable?

Works ok in v3.0

Ah.

But, if that's the case, it will be the same situation we are having with Project machines?

Load in V3, jot down the lamp numbers, change in V2, and so on.

Well I guess it will be easy enough. :)

Are you thinking of doing it yourself Pete?

Bump,

Did this ever get finished?

i ask because i have just about finished a classic.

but as posted above there seems to a lamp problem

i.e "auto nudge" and "press to nudge up" lamps are missing.

the cancel lamp lights up when awarded nudges.very strange!!!

I wouldn't expect the Nudge Up to light up tbh and some of the Barcrest MPU3's don't have lamps for Cancel and AutoNudge.

Perhaps just remove the Cancel lamp?

np, oh but your effects and meter setting need sorting

MPU3 only uses triacs for meters when there are 7 Segment displays
