hi all picked this up a while back and decided to get it running

well so far so good except the 2 lamps for the token mec and coin mec

all wires and connections seem ok and i changed the 2 diodes on the lamps

when first putting  the machine on both lamps light up then go out straight away

after putting credits in at some point they both come on again and stay on why the credits remain on the machine unplayed but

soon as you use the credits both lamps go out again

well i decided to try another game in the machine supatrack and both lamps stayed on as they should on start up

so then i  put the moneybelt roms into the supatrack cart [ same problem again ] no lamps

any one got any ideas

had a few hours spare today so had another look at this

traced the wires and they go to the mpu lamps on the board

put the machine into test mode and all work fine

still not sure why they are not staying on all the time

its possible that its the wrong loom so something i may look at

This is an odd one Tony, I suppose it could be the wrong wiring, but I would be surprised 😱

every thing is good in test

the game runs fine and tubes payout fine all coins and tokens

its weird that as soon as i put a coin or token in [ no lamps ] then suddenly they decide to come on at some point

i have also noticed that both lamps come on at some point when the 9 lamps for the reels begin to synch in attract then go out again when its finished that bit of the synch   :D

tried a couple of boards and same thing

well had another go at this today and pulled out my supatrack to find the wiring is different as one holder comes of the lamps and the other comes of the coin from the mps2 board

i no there is a easy way of doing this but then i get a flickering from both lamps    :)

its possible it could be the roms [ you never no ]

think i may have a couple of spare looms so its back to square one for now

all this for 2 lamps    :) that will not stay on

Is there a setting for single coin entry only ? When the lamps are out, are coins rejected ?

as far as im aware there is no single coin entry

just give the game a good bashing and lights stayed out all the time i put coins and tokens in to give me credits [backdoor open]

but i did not collect any wins :)

next update

well i tried to get my head around this and worked out that the lamps came on when i collected a win [actual payout] in coins   :headache:

as the lamps never came on all the time the back door was open in play mode

so i closed the backdoor and gave the machine a good bashing

i took the moneybank pot up to £20 hoping not to hit the 10p loose gamble

all the time i played the game both lamps remained off

as soon as i had to collect the £20 on they came

first credit after that both lamps came on straight away again then went back off again soon as the credit was used

I am starting to remember this might be a peculiarity with Monetbelt and a game or 2 either side of it.

It is like a small programming error in the logic of the control for these 2 lamps.

Double confirm, it is not set for 1 credit at a time only and the level detectors are 100% as expected.

Do we know the rom version, is it what we have for the emulator.

I had a quick look at this in the emulator, Dialtones DX has the MS coin mech lamp as lamp 1 and it never turns on...ever.

I checked lamps 0 and 2 as well, nothing.

Then I loaded the roms for Supertrack and it uses these lamps for game features.

Meanwhile, Stony sent me 2 sets of roms, 1 used in the layouts and another with a different name. I found 4 character differences in 1 line.

However, as far as I can see, they run the same.

Mystery indeed.
