  1. Hi All I'm hoping for a bit of advice as to where to go with this problem. I have an Ace System one Club Supreme "borrowed" from a friend. It was working fine, then a few days ago it just stopped whilst in attract mode. The 5 LEDS on the PSU are lit, and just to be sure, i replaced the electrolytics on the PSU board as one of them was bulging slightly. When switched on, it appears to come out of reset. The relay "clicks" the the red LED on the board goes out after about 5 seconds as it should, but nothing else happens. The reels are "stiff" and the Leds on the backs of them are lit, but they do not initialise and no other lights illuminate on the machine at all. Whether it is relevant or not, the "full stop" on one of 7 seg's flashes 3 times about 10 seconds after switching on (flashes twice immediately, then again after a couple of seconds) I have reseated the connectors and the roms and of course checked the 7 fuses! I also removed the lighting fuse in case the flo tube was interfering - i had that happen once on a JPM. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be? I don't have a 'scope, so i'm limited to a multimeter. Thank you for any advice.
  2. Plug in some lights come on butnothing more it says initializing but then get alarm hopper fault 84-80 n thats all it does any one hadthis issue
  3. Hi Everyone Recently bought The Mob by MDM, and until now it has been faultless. Playing about with it this afternoon though, it has developed a strange fault where the display is showing random characters. This machine will still play, and payout, just doesn't display properly. I have traced the cables from the display down to the bottom of the MPU4 board, and both ends are secure. Looking for some guidance as to what to check next? Thanks in advance! Steven

  6. Hi Everyone, Had this classic fruit machine, BAR-X, for a chrimbo present as a project - just a small fix i hope? Two connectors are not connected to the door switch and not sure which blade terminal to connect them to without getting some advice first. I've attached some photo's and wire colours, if any more are needed or any other questions, I will reply as quickly as possible. Blade 1 red with black banding Blade 2 nothing connected Blade 3 black (pair) Blade 4 nothing connected Blade 5 light brown with black banding Blade 6 nothing connected Unconnected wires are both light brown one has white banding, while the other has orange banding Not sure if it's called hoop or band that marks the main wire colour yet Thank you in advance and Happy New Year to you all. Regards, Patrick

  8. Hi, I hope somebody can help me. I have managed to pick up an old Maygay coronation Street machine which does not work. I have some basic knowledge of what i should be looking at but need some help. It seems like there is a problem with the mpu not coming out of reset to allow the +12v to work. Has anybody got any ideas? Barry.
  9. Hi Folks Barcrest MPU4 Club vegas. Has been running fine, now prior to boot I get MPU4 Mux selects alarm. I know this relates to a short on the lamp selects (blue plug) There are various sub circuits and a lamp extender board on this machine. By a process of elimination, If I unplug the top blue plug on the board shown on the picture, the machine boots. This connector feeds the top glass feature lamps. Could a blown bulb cause a short? otherwise what else? Thanks Phil.
