  1. Greetings! I have an Ace System one machine called Club Supreme The problem is that the battery only holds it's charge for a couple of days I can't find any schematics to know the values of components around the battery area to consider replacement So I have 3 questions; 1) What is the likely culprit of the discharging battery? 2) What is to stop me using a battery holder with say 2x duracell AA batteries (voltage obviously slightly low at 3v) using a diode to block the charging circuit? 3) As (2) but 3xAA rechargables so voltage is correct, but still using a diode as the charging circuit on the board would be inadequate - I could charge/replace the batteries externally on a monthly basis whilst machine is on so memory is not lost. I realise the AA batteries are much higher capacity than a rechargeable, but this is what is done in pinball machines so why not fruities? Surely the memory circuit would only draw the current that is required and not be overpowered? Please don't suggest the coin cell mod - I tried that and it was flat in a couple of days! Thanks for any input.
