    Glass reproduction and reprint

Each colour including the silver mirror was printed through stencils that were applied onto the silk screens and every different colour was done one colour at a time and allowed to dry first before the next colour was added. We used automatic and manual silk screen printing machines. The automatics, you fed the glass in one side and the glass would come out printed on the other. All we had to do was to check for registration I.e,everything fitted into the right places on the glass and machine. The manual printers,we would lift a silk screen, place the glass underneath, and used a squeegee to print across the glass over the silk screen. Did this job as an apprentice 1980-83 in Cardiff. Did tons of JPM stuff.

Yes,as Andrew says Glasses were done in bulk orders. I printed thousands of fruit machine glasses and the reel bands too. It was all done on silk screen printers. First you'd have a clear glass mirrored and the silver parts on the glass were printed ,and the rest washed off. Then it was black print Then course in turn Finally while backing. Any backlit symbols or hidden words were printed in Grey or black at the end.

Club Cops n Robbers pay tubes

Part one done! If it helps anyone to get the coin mech to divert via my chosen route when the first tube is full .... I have used pin 1 on the scorpion 2 coin validator Molex which is detailed as "coin 5 input" and linked this to the rout I want to inhibit on the cashflow 126 "route inhibit" pin 1 (this is for exit 'd') So by having a 22 pin routing plug setup as follows: Pin 20 to pin 14 (route £1 to exit d) Pin 13 to pin 11 (route exit d to exit c) The machine now diverts to tube 2 when tube 1 is showing full. I just need to workout how to fill up tube 3 now (the small one attached to the first tube) as it is filled using exit d. Also correct placement of the level switches if anyone has an idea I can't find a schematic for this? Machine also seems to reject 10p coins mech blinks to say it's software or hardware inhibited? If anyone has a game manual at all for a similar scorp 2 I'd be very grateful?? Thank you

    M5L8279 chip needed

I've only ever seen the Mitsubishi version used in the Sys85 which is the M5L8279-5. Does anyone know if they ever used any other manufacturer? The point being the Mitsubishi one is the most expensive.

no this was years ago what I described happened!, sg gaming won't deal with public, just people that can prove they hold a licenced premises gaming licence

Ahh maybe that was the thread I read on here. It did go all quite! That's mad, it went to that stage. I mean I think if anyone wanted to get the glass remade professionally then that should be a service they offer at a cost, we want to get it done, so fining some one who can do this when they don't even offer the service themselves is just stupid. I approached SG games who look like they've taken over barcrest, they told me to email them, and never heard back. These companies do themselves no favours, as we are willing to pay

They was mass produced back in the day, and I heard there was someone doing glasses for maygay M1 a good few years back, I think they was some kind of conversions kit, I can’t remember now, but maygay actively went after him and got him to stop with threats of copyright and fines etc, the person that told me this knew this as he knew someone from maygay and was going to ask about what was needed to be able to (licensing) and if maygay would go after people that produced new PCB’s for maygay machines, but he never did even ask for me! Just a long line of promises that never happened!!

Cheers Andrew, yep it does look that way, approached about 5 local places and they was told they couldn't. I thought I'd ask as a lad on YouTube posted a vid of his machines and one he had glass reproduced on, and that one had the mirror look. I did leave a message in the comments a couple of weeks ago, but sadly hasn't replied Thought I'll post a plea on here

The mirror effect is not something anyone seems willing to produce these days, if you want something possibly vinal is the way to go and sacrifice the mirror effect

Cheers rich! I do avoid getting things from places that customs can hit me for, been caught too many times now, but it shows even if you do try you can still get caught out, it’s only going to get worse when we leave the EU as customs is going to be rubbing there hands together as they can charge custom fees from products coming in from Europe to people like you and me!!
  21. Hi all, Need your expert advice! I'm looking at trying to get my glass reproduced, I know theres an old thread on here about it but no recommendations. The issue with local companies are they can not replicate the mirror effect used on my glass, and offered either white or a fake chrome look (which will look pants). I just wanted to throw it out there seeing if anyone knew if any company(s). The companies I approached locally are fantastic, but don't offer this kind of service or detail. They did say the technique used on the glass is an old fashioned way of production (which just goes to show how good they were back then if they can't replicate it now!!), and can only offer a large sticker/vynal print AND cannot reproduce the blacked out sections behind the glass, so any suggestions would be fantastic!! Cheers all

Good job I am not planning to sell them lol!! I heard someone could get impact cpu cards done for £15 fully built! I said good luck to them as I can’t see that happening with the price of blank pcb’s!
  23. Andrew96_

    Yet another test rig!

Yeah!!! So all in it works at a total of £171 for 20 pcb’s!! And these are smaller than even impact cpu cards, only a extra £1 per pcb and now the anger has resided I will pay dhl later ! A expense I did not bank on getting! It is more hassle to start again and claim money back from this transaction, just the hint of brexit is putting prices up so most likely what was cheaper pcb manufactures last week will cost more this week with the exchange rate! So roughly £8.55 each blank PCB! In life you will never win! The best you can hope for is to break even!!

Don't accept the parcel claim back on your credit card or whomever you used to pay for the goods. Let them decide whether to pay the charge or refund you in full.. A company did the same to me when I brought 100 innline filters from USA I kicked off as above got a full refund and to keep the goods in the end too.

Jesus i bloody hate incompetence! Drives me mad. I would imagine your not that over delighted? 😤

    Yet another test rig!

Well looks like I am not getting the boards now till I pay DHL for what looks like custom charges which I specifically asked the pcb maker to include a low value invoice ( which they sent me a picture of) but seem to have put the normal one in so costing yet more money!! If they had said they would not do the lower invoice I would not have used them! This is what increases the already fairly high price for each pcb as low quantity! Good luck to anyone that wants to produce fruit machine pcb’s!!!
