  3. I had absolutely no idea that I had them. I did find some other schematics in a wardrobe at my parents’ house some 10+ years ago. I put them on eBay and they were bought by a member here, before I even knew this site existed.
  4. Amazing find and thanks for sharing
  5. I might try photographing them in four sections and then stitch them together with MS Paint, although that might make the files a bit on the big side.
  6. Blimey, gold dust. I'm sure folks will be very pleased to see these in the downloads. With the diagrams can you take a high res picture, square on, if that makes sense. As long as the pic can be blown up to read the small text that would be great. Thanks in advance. Bob
  7. Seems to be all good now been on a few hours so fingers cross
  8. Good afternoon everyone. No-one seems to have posted in this section for nearly six months, so I thought I would. My brother moved house last year, and one of the boxes he found in his garage contained a lot of my paperwork, including, amongst other things, my 'O' level certificates from the dim and distant past. The box probably came from my parents' loft when we cleared it. Anyway, I discovered a folder full of Bell Fruit paperwork from when I worked there in the early '80s. There are various documents about fault finding MPUs (black box), adjusting coin mechs, cams and microswitches (electro) as well as schematics for Super Nudge Gambler, Nudge Gambler Mk3, Firecracker, 21 Up Mk2, Plus Ten Mk2 and Hot Dog. There's also a map showing how to find/access the factory in Leengate, a 'boozy guide' to Nottingham and information for the Hotel Talsta, which is where I stayed when attending my Grade 4 training/exam in 1981. I'm hoping the Nudge Gambler Mk3 schematic will suit my recently acquired Nudge Punter. I will try to scan the documents in the not too distant future - a job for a rainy afternoon. I'm not sure what I can do with the schematics, as they're a bit big for my scanner.
  9. Glad you got that one sorted. Always a good place to start for freezing or intermittent boots etc is the the ROM cart socket. It can lose tension over the years and will definitely benefit from a good clean. You can use a burnisher for stubborn dirt/corrosion but it has to be extremely fine otherwise you'll strip the coating (is it gold??). Used in conjunction with some switch cleaner usually sorts it. If the pins have lost tension I usually slot a small jewellers screwdiver between the ouside of the connector and the side which just adds a slight bit more tension. If they become too tight you risk bending them during insertion of the card and as replacements are very hard to find you don't want to do that.
  10. Thanks Bob, I'm not sure what went on but I read R85 and it was 27 ohms! now it came off the spool of 270 ohm resistors! So don't know how the hell that happened! I'm having issues now with it freezing or dying at times the power socket has scorched pins so I have that removed to fit some donor pins from a scrap reel board Thanks Ronnie
  11. Yesterday
  12. The diode should be a 1N4148 but I can't see that making any difference? Post a pic Ronnie as I'm as mystified as you are???
  13. Yep agree alan they are about but still scarce .
  14. Sorry nick I forgot to post this. just to finish off the thread that bargains are rare but they our out there(I was lucky this time and hopefully another member will stumble across one in the near future).
  15. Last week
  16. Cracking little machine this, i remember playing this in my local arcade a good few years back. here is the 10p/£4 roms if you would like them as back up. nudge bonanza 4 quid roms.zip
  17. Mdm conversion,, I will be back at the unit next week and i will have a look inside to see if there is any more information of its former self 🤔
  18. Very nice. New one on me. Looks like a clone of Lite-A-Nudge. What's the manufacturer, mate? CTL? VFS? MDM? I can see a logo on the top-left but can't make it out.
  19. Cheers have been over it big time I can find nothing! Will try the old diode back tomorrow
  20. Maybe a blob of solder across the tracks?
  21. Bob I replaced the diode again 1n4144 and the tant 2.2uf but it’s the same, the resistors were replaced like for like as I have done on other boards, I lifted a leg of the diode and it still boots but resistor is cool, no idea what’s going on? Still have the old diode not sure how to proceed thanks Ronnie
  22. Leaky diode? Shorted tant? Can't think of much else. When you say the resistors are the correct values is that by measurement or by band colours?
  23. This has got me stumped again! The board is working but the components botom right were looking a bit crusty! So decided to replace them, But after doing so R85 is cooking! The diode and tant are correct and the right way round, the 3 resistors are also correct values, The R85 I removed had no sign of ever being hot, what the hell have I done! Thanks Ronnie
  24. Hi all ROM hoarders. Would any of you kind people have a ROM for this please?
  25. Not one I remember! Looks good though 👌
